“Superbon’s kicks versus Grigorian’s punches” – Lito Adiwang expects styles clash between Superbon, Marat Grigorian in Bangkok

Strawweight contender Lito Adiwang anticipates that the upcoming rematch between Superbon Singha Mawynn and Marat Grigorian will ultimately be determined by the destructive kicks of the Thai fighter and the formidable punching power of the Armenian athlete.

This upcoming Friday, April 5, ONE Championship will make its way back to the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok for a stacked ONE Friday Fights 58 event. The main event will feature an interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship bout, with Superbon facing off against Marat Grigorian in a rematch of their March 2022 encounter.

Superbon emerged victorious in their initial encounter under the ONE banner, showcasing his dominance with a commanding five-round display and earning a unanimous decision.

“Superbon versus Grigorian, it’s gonna be Superbon’s kicks versus Grigorian’s punches,”Adiwang said.

Both Superbon and Marat Grigorian put on impressive performances in their recent kickboxing matches. Superbon scored a flawless head-kick knockout against Tayfun Ozcan in the second round of their ONE Fight Night 11 showdown last summer.

Grigorian recently emerged victorious in a third-round defeat over another renowned Thai fighter, Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, at ONE 165 in Tokyo.

Marat Grigorian’s Quest for ONE Championship Gold in Thailand

In contrast to his opponent, Marat Grigorian has never experienced the sensation of carrying 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold on his shoulder. However, on Friday, the former three-time GLORY Kickboxing champion intends to alter that.

“My goal is to be the World Champion of ONE Championship,”Grigorian told the promotion ahead of fight night. “That’s the only goal in my mind. So it means everything to me. I will do my best to get there.”

Will Grigorian emerge victorious and claim the interim ONE featherweight kickboxing championship in The Land of Smiles, or will Superbon extend his lead over the Armenian and potentially secure a rematch with the undisputed division champion, Chingiz Allazov?
