“Superbon won’t like that” – Marat Grigorian plans to make Superbon as miserable as possible at ONE Friday Fights 58

Marat Grigorian will pose a challenge for Superbon on the night of the fight.

The fierce adversaries will once again face each other as they prepare to compete in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 58, vying for the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world title. Grigorian has already devised a straightforward strategy for Superbon in anticipation of the match.

During an interview with ONE Championship, Grigorian expressed his determination to disrupt Superbon’s performance this Friday at the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. He stated that he will do everything in his power to throw Superbon off his game.

Marat Grigorian recently achieved a stellar knockout victory against his rival, Sitthichai Sitongpeenong, at ONE 165. He intends to leverage this win as a launching pad for his upcoming match against Superbon.

During his interview with ONE Championship, he stated:

“Yes, of course. He’s a different fighter than Sitthichai, we have a good game plan and I think Superbon won’t like that. So we will see.”

During his time at ONE Championship, Grigorian achieved what could be considered his most significant victory by knocking out Sitthichai in Tokyo. This was his second win over the renowned Thai fighter, and now he has the opportunity to compete for another title as he faces Superbon for the second time in the promotion.

Superbon has previously defeated Grigorian by winning a unanimous decision at ONE X and successfully defending his ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship.

Despite his previous defeat against Superbon, Grigorian has learned from his mistakes and is now prepared to take the fight to the former featherweight kickboxing champion.

Marat Grigorian Criticizes Superbon’s Fighting Style

Despite being highly regarded by many in the kickboxing community, Superbon’s skills are not appreciated by Marat Grigorian. Grigorian claims that Superbon relies on the same technique and is not able to diversify his attacks to surprise his opponents.

In the interview, Grigorian confidently stated that Superbon’s unique strategy will not be effective in their much-awaited rematch at ONE Championship. He added:

“I think he will do the same game plan as the last time, just teeping me away and throwing some knees. I think that’s the only thing that he can do against me. And yes, I will work on distance, take my points, and that’s it.”
