Exciting News: Free Demo of Styx: Blades of Greed Now Available

Publisher Nacon and developer Cyanide Studio have just unveiled a limited-time opportunity for gamers to download the free Styx: Blades of Greed demo on PC through Steam. This engaging demo, approximately 17GB in size, allows players to explore the initial hour of gameplay, featuring the game’s early storyline.

What to Expect in the Demo

Gamers can anticipate thrilling missions, such as infiltrating a colossal golem hell-bent on destroying Styx from within, and participating in a high-stakes zeppelin heist under the watchful gaze of the Inquisition within the expansive first environment, known as The Wall. According to the developers, this demo offers players a ‘focused taste’ of the game’s narrative tone, systems, and the level of freedom available in the complete experience. Notably, progress made in the demo will be saved, meaning players can easily transition to the full game without the need to replay the initial hour.

Early Impressions from Industry Experts

At a recent press event, our correspondent Francesco De Meo had the chance to test the demo and shared his thoughts:

While I don’t expect Styx: Blades of Greed to set the market on fire, as its hardcore stealth approach is still going to leave anyone who isn’t a stealth game fanatic frustrated, the new entry in the series by Cyanide seems to evolve the series’ formula considerably, providing a sandbox stealth experience that works incredibly well with its wealth of options.

Release Date Announcement

Styx: Blades of Greed is set to launch on February 19, 2026, promising to deliver an enhanced stealth experience for both avid fans of the series and newcomers alike.
