
New Manga Series: Street Fighter: Luke Rising
A manga adaptation titled Street Fighter: Luke Rising is set to begin serialization on June 29, 2025, in CoroCoro Comic. This series will center around the character Luke, who has become emblematic of the Street Fighter 6 franchise. The manga will be illustrated by the talented Yoshio Mokomokomaru Masao.
Art Sneak Peek and Artist Background
The official announcement was made via a Tweet from CoroCoro Comic’s account on X (formerly known as Twitter).Accompanying the news were artistic renditions of Luke and Ryu, along with a sneak preview featuring Luke striking a dynamic pose surrounded by various other characters in smaller panels. Masao is no stranger to gaming-themed content, having previously illustrated Gaming Ojou-sama and contributed to several one-shot comics accessible on the Shonen Jump website.
Commemorating Two Years of Street Fighter 6
This manga project marks a collaboration between Capcom and CoroCoro to celebrate the second anniversary of Street Fighter 6, which launched in early June 2023 for platforms such as PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Following its success, an arcade version was also introduced in December 2023. Luke, making his first appearance as a DLC character in Street Fighter V, played a central role in the narrative of Street Fighter 6, solidifying his position as the leading character in this upcoming manga.

The first installment of Street Fighter: Luke Rising will be featured in the June 29, 2025, issue of CoroCoro Comic. Meanwhile, Street Fighter 6 remains readily available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, with plans for a Nintendo Switch 2 version scheduled to launch on June 5, 2025.
