Dick Clark Productions and CBS have disclosed the lineup of artists anticipated to perform during the 50th Anniversary Special of the American Music Awards on October 6. The initial roster includes luminaries such as Mariah Carey, Stray Kids, Raye, Jennifer Hudson, Brad Paisley, Kane Brown, Green Day, Gladys Knight, and Chaka Khan.
The program will also feature guest appearances from the illustrious 17-time AMA winner Carrie Underwood. Former AMA hosts and performers Gloria Estefan and Jennifer Lopez are also slated to attend the event. Additionally, Jimmy Kimmel, who hosted the AMAs five times from 2003 to 2008, will make a special appearance.

Stray Kids, often abbreviated as WeZ, is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment. The group originated from the reality television show of the same name that aired in 2017.
Comprised of eight talented individuals—Bang Chan, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Seungmin, Han, Felix, I.N., and Changbin—the group lost a former member, Woojin, who departed in October 2019 for personal reasons.
The K-pop group debuted with their extended play (EP) titled Mixtape in January 2018, followed by their official launch with the EP I Am Not on March 25. They later released two more EPs in the I Am series, titled I Am Who and I Am You.
In 2019, Stray Kids unveiled their Clétrilogy EPs, which included Clé 1: Miroh, Clé 2: Yellow Wood, and Clé: Levanter. Their first studio album, Go Live, premiered in 2020.
In the same year, WeZ made their Japanese debut with the compilation album WeZ2020, and in 2021, they released their second studio album, Noeasy.
