On October 22, 2024, Stray Kids’ member Felix made an appearance on the Australian television program, The Project, alongside his bandmate Bang Chan. They were interviewed by Georgie Tunny, a well-known journalist and presenter in Australia. The segment was broadcasted on Network 10.
During the interview, Felix discussed how he was discovered. When Georgie asked if he had been scouted on the street, he clarified that it actually happened through Facebook, which took the host by surprise. Curious about the details, she pressed him for more information.
“There was a woman that messaged me in the DMs. I thought it was a bit strange at first, but she asked if I wanted to come for a shooting,” Felix recounted.
Felix elaborated that at the time, he was honing his skills at a dance academy, and a teacher encouraged him to take a leap of faith and pursue the opportunity in South Korea.
“Yeah, initially I was apprehensive, thinking about stranger danger. But my teacher at the dance academy told me, ‘I think you should go for it,’ so I ended up flying to Korea just two weeks later,” he revealed.
The revelation that Stray Kids’ Felix was discovered through Facebook created quite a buzz online. Many fans were taken aback, expressing their shock on social media. One user on X commented:
“FACEBOOK????”
Fans also reminisced about Felix’s previous Instagram bio, where he invited followers and labeled himself as an artist.
“Not felix being scouted on FACEBOOK of all places,” noted one fan.
“Felix getting scouted from Facebook reminds me of his old IG bio; I’m curious about what his FB bio was,” another fan remarked.
“Lee Felix Yongbok got scouted on Facebook – that’s wild,” exclaimed another supporter.

“They got him to MOVE COUNTRIES based on a Facebook message? That’s insane,” wrote another user.
“I’ll never understand how this works; why are these idols so easily scammable?” joked another fan.
