In Hades 2, players will encounter prominent boss battles that can pose a formidable challenge, especially if approached without a strategy. These bosses offer a range of difficulties across different regions of the game. The narrative revolves around Melinoe’s journey as she navigates numerous obstacles to accomplish her mission of defeating Chronos and rescuing her father, Hades, from imprisonment.
One notably tough encounter occurs with Prometheus, the ultimate adversary on Olympus. Accompanied by a falcon companion, this powerful foe can be daunting, yet employing the right strategies can simplify the combat.
Strategies to Conquer Prometheus in Hades 2
To effectively defeat Prometheus, prioritize selecting the optimal Boons to maximize damage output while minimizing your own vulnerability. Utilizing Boons such as Shameless Attitude, Divine Dash, Blinding Spirit, Flutter Strike, and Hot Pot can significantly ease the confrontation. The Sister Blades are also essential for delivering quick damage.
Prometheus is assisted by an eagle named Aetos, which can inflict damage upon Melinoe. It’s advisable to steer clear of him whenever he enters the fray. Additionally, Prometheus’ fire attacks can be particularly devastating, dealing significant damage and reducing the usable area of the arena. Employ skills such as Flame Vortex to cause effective damage.
During the charge-up phases of his fire attacks, it’s crucial to deflect instead of blocking, as this will prevent large sections of the arena from becoming hazardous. Be mindful of his Flames of Foresight, a move that occurs twice during the fight when his health is reduced to two-thirds and one-third. When he leaps out of the arena to unleash flames, quickly identify the safe zones to avoid damage.
Maintaining the right distance can be tricky when engaging Prometheus since his attacks can be punishing. For example, his Ring of Fire attack creates a massive inferno when two rings collide. He can also summon four allies, including Satyr Goldpikes, Satyr Sappers, or Raptor Harpies, to support him.
It’s crucial to focus on dodging during close-range exchanges. Being positioned too far or too close can lead to repeated hits from Prometheus. His attack patterns, while seemingly straightforward, can be managed effectively through well-timed Deflects, allowing you to ultimately overcome the Titan of Foresight.
