When executed correctly, Afterimage Strike is an excellent defense against formidable attacks. However, not all characters in the game can perform this move. The following characters are equipped with this ability:

  • Goku (GT)
  • Goku (Teen)
  • Gohan (Kid)
  • Krillin
  • Super Vegito
  • He saw
  • Master Roshi
  • Pan (GT)
  • Dabura
  • Strategic

To activate Afterimage Strike, players need at least three skill points. Use RT+D-Pad up/down (Xbox), R2+D-Pad up/down (PlayStation), or Left Shift+1 (Keyboard) to perform the move.

Once activated, you gain protection from most opponent attacks, including normal and special moves (except Ki blasts) for a duration of 15 seconds. As a result, you can dodge incoming attacks while simultaneously countering with your own offense.

It can be challenging to determine if your opponent has initiated an Afterimage Strike as it unfolds, which may allow them to avoid your assaults with ease. To effectively counter this skill, several factors should be taken into account.

First and foremost, keep an eye on your opponent’s skill points. If you notice a reduction of three skill points, it’s likely they have activated Afterimage Strike.

Following this observation, it is wise to keep your distance and utilize Ki blasts for ranged damage. Ki blasts are the only way to inflict damage while the Afterimage Strike is active.

The key to success is to avoid making aggressive close-range moves, and refrain from using Ultimate Blasts during this timeframe.
