Minecraft bugs seem to be an ongoing issue, persisting despite the numerous updates released by Mojang Studios. While the developers aim to enhance the game’s polish, the introduction of new features often leads to the emergence of unexpected bugs. Fortunately, most of these glitches are not detrimental to gameplay or cause significant problems for players. Recently, an observant Minecraft player discovered a unique bug related to minecarts.
A Reddit user, pyrku_pyrku, shared a short video in the game’s subreddit illustrating how a minecart can be launched high into the air when placed on an inclined powered rail track and then halted with a cobweb. This peculiar phenomenon could be a bug introduced in the latest snapshot that enhanced minecart speed.

In response to this glitch, another user, u/SwannSwanchez, commented that they wished the minecart would launch forward instead of upward, facilitating long-distance travel. Meanwhile, user u/ekiller64 pointed out that after being launched into the air, players can utilize the elytra to travel vast distances.

Another user, u/CBT7commander, shared their enthusiasm for this snapshot, urging Mojang Studios to keep this feature rather than fix what they consider a bug. Additionally, user u/Koshkatoshka noted that Mojang Studios has implemented features increasing minecart speed, which will soon be available as a game rule option.
Enhancements to Minecraft’s Features
Mojang Studios is dedicated to enhancing Minecraft by introducing innovative features and items. However, it’s equally important for them to focus on improving existing functionalities. This includes upgrading biomes and enhancing item utility. A prime example is the fletching table, which remains underutilized despite its significant potential.
It appears the developers are making strides in enhancing minecarts. The addition of a game rule that enables players to increase minecart speed is a positive move. Historically, minecarts have served little purpose due to their sluggish nature, limiting their use for travel.
With the newfound capacity to increase speed up to 1,000 blocks per second, minecarts can now serve as an effective means of long-distance travel, making extensive track networks useful for players. Alongside these improvements, Mojang Studios is finally integrating bundles and Hardcore mode into the Minecraft Bedrock Edition after years of anticipation.
