Soon in The DioField Chronicle, a soldier asks you to help upgrade some of the facilities around the Elm camp. However, at this stage of the game, you don’t have a lot of funds, and the investment may be too large. So is it worth upgrading the object in The DioField Chronicle?
Should I immediately improve the object in The DioField Chronicle?
After you have completed the second mission in The DioField Chronicle, Redditch Estate Recon. The subquest appears in the Institution Room (to the right of the shop owner), where a soldier asks you to fund a trade route, also known as upgrading Camp Elm’s facilities. And yet is it worth it?
The answer is no. It’s not worth it. At least not right away. It costs 1500 guilds to upgrade, which doesn’t sound like much, but in The DioField Chronicle it does. Everything is expensive; weapons, armor, and accessories cost more than you can afford, especially if you’re trying to equip your units. One weapon can cost 1400G.
From what we can tell, upgrading an object increases your shop rank by one for your mercenary unit badge, and that’s it. This rank unlocks new items in the shop. However, you cannot afford these novelties. You just spent 1500G to upgrade. Whatever is left can buy something if you’re lucky, especially before you unlock the ability to replay missions.
If you choose not to upgrade. Do not worry. You can opt out and upgrade to a higher level later when you can afford it.
