Steve Stoute’s Comments on Dame Dash During The Pivot Podcast: 50 Cent’s Reaction to the UnitedMasters Founder
During a recent episode of The Pivot podcast on Saturday, September 21, Steve Stoute, the CEO of UnitedMasters, addressed Dame Dash’s earlier claims. Stoute revealed that he and Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash had not one, but two confrontations.
In the discussion, Stoute recounted Dash’s assertion that he slapped Stoute over an $18,000 debt. Stoute acknowledged that a confrontation did occur when they both happened to be in the same office building, with Dash accompanied by ten men while Stoute was alone.
Two years later, Stoute encountered Dash on the street with two women. Stoute claimed that Dash pushed one of the women in front of him and fled the scene. He recounted:
“I went to step to him. This man pushed the girl in front of me and took off running. The girl he pushed in front of me fell and then sued me. The insurance company paid out her.”
Stoute stated that the insurance company did not require him to hire a lawyer and simply needed his approval on the lawsuit, which totaled approximately $30,000.
Five years later, at a Kanye West party, Stoute met the same woman, who he initially did not recognize. She introduced herself as the one who had sued him, expressed her gratitude, and mentioned that she used the money to settle in Los Angeles. Stoute remarked:
“That’s his woman now! So we always had a thing with each other—what do you want me to say, man, he’s in bad shape. He’s been in bad shape for a long time. He’s not tough.”
In response, Dame Dash took to Instagram, labeled Stoute as “crazy,”and suggested he seek therapy. Meanwhile, 50 Cent shared a clip on Instagram where Stoute mocked Dash’s grills falling out during an Instagram Live session, labeling it “embarrassing.”
Dame Dash Faces Criticism from Both Steve Stoute and 50 Cent
“😂😂😂😂😂 Steve Stout I smacked the s**t out of you and that was it get over it…and me running from you in front of my girl is the funnest s**t I ever heard 10 dudes in the room is crazy 😂😂😂😂😂 we are both over 50 now go get some therapy and move on.”
In addition to his comments about the supposed second confrontation, Stoute also mentioned the incident where Dash’s diamond grills fell out during an Instagram Live earlier that month. This happened while Dash was responding to 50 Cent’s remarks about him, aiming to challenge the rapper to put his money where his mouth was. Stoute added:
“You’re lying through your teeth and your teeth are falling out. You’re trying to create and muster animosity with anybody, then create some momentum around some bulls**t.”
On Sunday, September 1, during an appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, 50 Cent criticized Dame Dash for dismissing his first-ever record contract, suggesting that $1 million was insignificant, while highlighting Dash’s current financial troubles. After Dash’s grills fell out, Fif had previously ridiculed him on social media.
Following Stoute’s remarks about Dash’s honesty, 50 Cent re-shared a clip of Stoute’s interview on Instagram, captioning his post:
“😆😆😆 it’s embarrassing I mean its da Rock 🫶what is you doing playing wit 50. 🤨”
According to a report by Complex, Stoute’s remarks concerning alleged confrontations were a reaction to Dash’s earlier claims about slapping Stoute over an $18,000 debt. Earlier this year, during an episode on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Stoute commented on Dash’s managing style during his tenure at Roc-A-Fella Records, saying:
“While he (Dame Dash) was building businesses, he would go off all around the world with cameras and girls and all kinds of crazy s**t, and then come back flipping on everybody as if [they were wrong].”
Stoute suggested that Dame’s ego widened the rift between him and Jay-Z, who allegedly recognized Dame’s limitations and sought to pursue greater opportunities. In response, Dame also took to Instagram that same month to share a clip from Stoute’s interview with the caption:
“This is the reason I had to smack the s**t out of Steve Stout a couple of years ago…because he’s always speaking on other men’s business good thing I’ve evolved #staytuned.”
Dame Dash’s stake in Roc-A-Fella Records was poised for sale at a court-ordered auction in August, but the auction was postponed due to Dash owing $8.7 million in back taxes and $193,000 in unpaid child support.
