During Sony’s recent State of Play broadcast, Shift Up unveiled the first trailer for the highly anticipated DLC of Stellar Blade. The trailer provided intriguing insights into the game’s crossover with Goddess of Victory: Nikke, a partner franchise, and hinted at thrilling new player experiences including boss encounters and character outfits.
Since its launch in April 2024 on PlayStation 5, Stellar Blade has gained significant traction, amassing over one million sales by June. While the game attracted some controversy surrounding the portrayal of its protagonist Eve, it has largely received favorable feedback, maintaining an average critic score of 83 on OpenCritic. With this success, several free updates and paid DLC expansions have been announced.
The reveal from February 12 confirmed previously speculated details, including new content like skins and a major new boss character—an ominous figure donning a striking red mask. Intriguingly, the trailer featured Eve decked out in an outfit inspired by Rapi, a beloved character from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Fans can also anticipate a fresh gaming environment that is likely tied to the new DLC.
Upcoming Stellar Blade DLC Release in June 2025
While specific details regarding the extent of content in this DLC remain sparse, viewers can expect at the very least new costumes and the formidable new boss. In the previous year, the game benefited from a crossover with Nier: Automata, which introduced a variety of outfits and narrative elements. Fans might find the upcoming DLC mirrors this format.





The recent trailer also confirmed the PC release timeline for Stellar Blade, coinciding with the DLC launch in June.
