Stellar Blade Developer Shift Up is Hiring for a New AAA Urban Sci-fi Action RPG Project in Unreal Engine

It seems that Shift Up, the South Korean studio behind the highly anticipated game Stellar Blade, is in the process of recruiting for a new project using Unreal Engine.

The Seoul-based developer is currently hiring employees for their upcoming AAA Sci-fi Action RPG, which will be their biggest game yet. While their highly-anticipated game, Stellar Blade, has not yet been released for PlayStation 5, the studio is already planning for their next project using Unreal Engine. As of now, there are various open positions including programmer, monster concept artist, character concept artist, animator, and screenwriter. Although the job descriptions do not provide much information, it is clear that the studio is developing an action RPG for PC and consoles utilizing Epic’s game engine. Additionally, the project may also have a mobile component according to the job listing.

The release date for Stellar Blade is set for April 26 on PlayStation 5. A free demo of the game is currently accessible from the PlayStation Store, showcasing the first stage of the game.

The demo covers the initial stages of the game, starting with Eve’s arrival on Earth as part of the 7th Airborne Squad’s mission to reclaim the planet from the Naytiba. It includes the first boss fight and a tutorial phase to introduce players to the basic combat features and gameplay mechanics. Additionally, players who complete the first stage will be treated to a surprise.
