The demo covers the opening section of the game, following the journey of Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad, as she is sent on a mission to reclaim Earth from the Naytiba. This section includes the first boss fight and serves as a tutorial to introduce players to basic combat mechanics. It also allows players to explore post-war Eidos 7, a human city overrun by the Naytiba, providing an early understanding of gameplay elements that will be important throughout the game’s storyline. Additionally, players who complete this section will be rewarded with a special surprise.

Despite only being released today, the Stellar Blade demo has already been tested by some outlets who were given early access. According to ElAnalistaDeBits, their initial analysis suggests that the game is a well-executed technical feat. Unlike many recent console releases, which often excel in either Quality or Performance mode but not both, Stellar Blade appears to excel in both areas. Read on for a detailed breakdown of their analysis.

Stellar Blade offers three distinct visual modes – Performance, Balanced, and Resolution. The Performance mode ensures a smooth 60fps even during intense moments and maintains a resolution of 1440p. On the other hand, the Resolution mode targets a native 4K and maintains a stable 30fps. The only slightly less stable option is Balanced, which utilizes TAA upscaling from 1440p to 4K. However, even with occasional drops below 50fps, it can still be a viable choice for those with a VRR-capable screen. In terms of visual quality, there is not much noticeable difference between the modes, aside from the basic resolution. While more detailed analyses may be forthcoming, it is safe to say

The launch date for Stellar Blade on PS5 is April 26.
