Stefon Diggs bids emotional farewell to Bills after blockbuster Texans trade: “Sadly good things come to an end”

Despite Stefon Diggs’ departure from Buffalo, the 30-year-old wide receiver took a moment to look back on his four-year tenure with the Bills. On Wednesday, the Houston Texans acquired the four-time Pro Bowler in a trade.

Sharing on Instagram, Diggs looked back on his years in Buffalo, expressing his affection for the city and cherishing the memories made during his time there. He conveyed his appreciation to the team and expressed gratitude to the passionate Bills Mafia for their unwavering support.

“I can’t begin to express the amount of love and respect I have for the city of Buffalo,”Diggs wrote. “Four of the best years of my life, the city welcomed me with open arms. I’m forever grateful for you all and the Buffalo Bills organization! Something special was built over these years with some very special men, that will always have a place in my heart.

“Billsmafia, so many great memories created throughout the years. Those games were crazy because of you. Sadly good things come to an end until we meet again,”he added.

The Buffalo Bills traded for Stefon Diggs in 2020 from the Minnesota Vikings, where he had already solidified himself as one of the best receivers in the league. Ever since joining the Bills, Diggs has proven to be a formidable weapon for Josh Allen.

Over the course of the past four seasons, Diggs has accumulated 445 receptions for 5,372 yards, with an average of 12.1 yards per catch and a total of 37 touchdowns. With 2023 Rookie of the Year CJ Stroud at the helm, Diggs will join the Houston team and greatly enhance their offensive capabilities.

The Controversial Departure of Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills: A Loss of Potential and Trust

Despite Stefon Diggs’ impressive performance on the field, it is his off-field remarks and enigmatic comments that have dominated the Bills’ offseason for several years.

The rumors surrounding the relationship between Diggs and Allen have suggested that it was damaged after the WR’s outburst on the sidelines during the 2023 Divisional Round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

As he bid farewell to the Buffalo Bills, the wide receiver decided to direct a criticism towards Josh Allen. After a fan suggested that Diggs was not a crucial factor in Allen’s achievements, the 30-year-old simply shrugged and retorted with:

“You sure? “

When questioned about the trade of Diggs to the Texans, the Bills general manager suggested that it was a combination of factors that prompted the decision.

“You don’t want to get into every reason we make every move,”Bills GM Brandon Beane said. “It’s not one thing.”

Despite the promise and potential that came with Stefon Diggs’ arrival in Buffalo and his pairing with Josh Allen, it ultimately went unfulfilled.
