It’s time for another exciting game category sales event on Valve’s Steam platform. This week-long Steam Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Fest celebrates games featuring various modes of transportation. The event runs until September 23 at 1 PM Eastern time (10 AM Pacific time).
While the event shares a title with the iconic John Hughes-directed 1987 comedy starring Steve Martin and the late John Candy, Valve’s occasion is not focused on the Thanksgiving travel experience. Instead, it offers Steam users the chance to save on games centered around planes, trains, automobiles, and other forms of transport, including trucks, buses, boats, and even spaceships.
Here are just a few PC games available during the event at deep discounts:
- American Truck Simulator for $4.99 (75% off)
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 for $4.99 (75% off)
- Microsoft Flight Simulator: 40th Anniversary Edition for $29.99 (50% off)
- Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 for $9.99 (60% off)

- Lawn Mowing Simulator for $4.99 (75% off)
- Unrailed! for $4.99 (75% off)

In addition to these fantastic discounts, be sure to check out free demos of many participating games. You can also look forward to upcoming titles in this Steam category, including Train Sim World 5, launching tomorrow, September 17, on Steam for $49.99.
The next Steam niche game category sales event is the Turn-Based Strategy Fest, starting on September 30, followed by the much-anticipated Steam Next Fest on October 14.
