Starfinder: Afterlight Launches on PC for Early Access in 2026

Introducing Starfinder: Afterlight – A New Adventure Awaits

Epictellers Entertainment is set to launch Starfinder: Afterlight, an exciting turn-based RPG, on PC in early access on Steam in 2026. Interested players can participate in shaping the game’s development through a Kickstarter campaign that is currently live.

Exploring New Frontiers in the Starfinder Universe

This new chapter expands upon the beloved Starfinder tabletop RPG universe, introducing players to fresh characters with unique narratives while implementing the game’s second edition ruleset in a digital format for the first time.

Collaboration with Paizo

While Epictellers Entertainment takes the helm of development and publication, they are collaborating closely with Paizo, the original creators of Starfinder.“We’re thrilled to unveil Starfinder: Afterlight in partnership with Paizo, ”expressed Ricard Pillosu, co-founder and CEO of Epictellers Entertainment, in a recent press release.“This marks the beginning of a journey we want to take alongside Starfinder fans everywhere. We can’t wait to share more about the ragtag crew navigating the Pact Worlds, full of danger and adventure.”

Key Insights from the Project’s Leadership

Erik Mona, Paizo’s chief creative officer, also provided insight, stating, “Starfinder’s universe is rich, vast, and beloved. Epictellers Entertainment’s vision aligns perfectly with the essence of our galaxy. We believe they’re the ideal team to bring this next chapter of the franchise to life.”

Gameplay Features and Customization

In Afterlight, players will have the opportunity to assemble a team of six companions, each representing distinct roles for engaging in turn-based combat: soldier, envoy, operative, mystic, solarian, and witchwarper. This dynamic serves as the backbone for a narrative-driven adventure where player choices significantly influence the story’s outcome.

Voice Acting and Development Progress

Notably, Neil Newbon—an actor recognized for his work in Baldur’s Gate 3 and the recently released Dead Take by Surgent Studio—will direct the voice cast, promising a rich audio experience for players.

Looking Ahead

As anticipation builds, the recent announcement and images lay the groundwork for what players can expect from Starfinder: Afterlight. However, the true barometer will be the unveiling of live gameplay footage, which we hope to see by the end of the year.
