The Starfield Shattered Space DLC has introduced a new patch. However, those anticipating a major overhaul akin to Cyberpunk 2.0 may find themselves disappointed, as this update primarily focuses on general enhancements and bug fixes. Nonetheless, it adds some new quality-of-life options, including a toggle for the Flip Merge behavior used in shipbuilding.
In total, over 50 bug fixes have been implemented to improve the gameplay experience for the new Starfield Shattered Space DLC. Below are the complete patch notes for Starfield update 1.14.70.
Starfield Patch 1.14.70 Notes: All Changes and Bug Fixes
A notable technical adjustment has been made for the Creation Kit within Starfield update 1.14.70. As highlighted in the patch notes:
“The automated process used to create models for Distant LOD is now available”
While this change may not be significant for most players of Starfield, it represents a valuable enhancement for modders. The following changes have been made to the game:
General
- Overall performance and stability improvements
- Fixed an issue that limited the number of loaded creations to 255
- Enhanced lighting throughout the game
- Implemented various visual improvements and bug fixes for weapon models
- Improved player headtracking upon exiting dialogue
- Fixed camera issues when jumping
Gameplay
- The Annihilator Particle Beam’s damage-over-time effect no longer harms Companions
- Robots and Turrets now take damage from EM weapons
- Crafting: Resolved an issue with The Boom Pop! Dynamite recipe
- Elite Crew: Autumn Macmillan no longer repeats questions about her sister
- Corrected crowd behavior near The Well elevator in the New Atlantis Spaceport during combat
Quests
- Brownout: Fixed progression issues after speaking with Joyce Osaka in New Homestead
- Due In Full: Resolved a rare issue regarding The Delinquent Space Ship’s appearance
- Eye Witness: Players can no longer enter the destroyed ship on the spaceport landing pad
- Hostile Intelligence: Fixed accessibility issues for the Security Office door when fast traveling
- In Memoriam: Resolved progression issues during the “Speak with Sarah”objective near the waterfall
- Leader of the Pack: Fixed an issue causing the Ashta Alpha to be non-aggressive
- Legacy’s End: Improved interactions with Delgado for players siding with SysDef
- Managing Assets: Fixed a rare issue that prevented Tomo from showing up at Paradiso
- One Giant Leap and several other quest-related audio and progression issues were addressed.
Locations
- Akila: Updated textures in the Slums
- Deserted Biotics Lab: Fixed missing panels on the exterior floor
- Lair of the Mantis: Corrected minor texture issues on some panels
- Fixed multiple collision issues in various locations.
Ships
- New option added in game settings to toggle Flip Merge behavior in Ship Builder
- Fixed audio issues occurring when deleting a hab
- Checked and ensured non-sellable ships cannot be sold to vendors.
Vehicle
- Adjusted issues with the Vehicle menu when used with a gamepad
- Resolved inconsistencies with vehicle name plates and health bars
- Fixed various issues with fast travel distances and vehicle settings.
UI
- Resolved various display issues regarding Large Font Mode and skill menus
- Addressed issues with crafting confirmation prompts and resource display.
Audio
- Increased center channel audio usage for surround sound setups
- Fixed issues with power allocation audio during damage states.
