Stardew Valley Guide: Acquiring the Queen of Sauce Cookbook

“The Queen of Sauce”is a weekly television program featured in Stardew Valley. Each Sunday, players can tune in to learn one of 32 different recipes, with 24 of these being exclusive to the show.

For those who may have missed an episode, reruns commence in Year 3 of the game. This can be a challenge for farmers who forget to check the TV or lose track of Sundays—believe me, you’re not alone in this!

Luckily, there’s a straightforward way to catch up. By accessing the extensive end-game content in Stardew Valley, you can read a book that teaches you all 32 recipes instantly, eliminating the need to have seen every episode.

How to Unlock the Cookbook

Finding Golden Walnuts on Ginger Island.

Acquiring the Queen of Sauce Cookbook isn’t simply a walk in the park; it unlocks later in the game and requires substantial progress on Ginger Island.

To access Ginger Island, players must first complete either the Community Center or the Joja Warehouse. Following this, you will need to repair the boat located at Willy’s Fish Shop using 200 pieces of hardwood, five batteries, and five iridium bars. Despite your hard work, Willy will still charge you 1, 000g for the boat ride—what a bargain, right?

Golden Walnut

Upon collecting 100 walnuts, you’ll gain access to the Walnut Room on Ginger Island. More crucially, the Bookseller in Pelican Town will now feature the Queen of Sauce Cookbook in his inventory.
