One of the essential elements of Stardew Valley is the pursuit of mastering all crafting and cooking recipes within the game. Although there’s no dedicated skill for cooking, experimenting with each recipe will contribute to achieving the renowned Mastery Tracker, which is a step towards completing your journey, even if you have not ventured into Qi’s Walnut Room yet.
To explore the full culinary potential of Stardew Valley, players must first discover all available recipes. This undertaking can be quite challenging, as these recipes can be scattered across various locations, requiring players to embark on extensive hunts throughout the game world to gather every food recipe.
Updated by Usama Ali on February 27, 2025: The task of collecting every recipe and attaining culinary mastery in Stardew Valley poses a significant challenge. The process of acquiring recipes is multifaceted, involving the weekly viewing of the “Queen of Sauce, ”fostering friendships with residents, upgrading skills, and occasionally purchasing recipes from stores. Each of these activities demands ample time investment, from weekly television sessions to social interactions. Additionally, the quest for ingredients can be arduous, as certain items are only available during specific seasons, while others may be scarce or located in perilous areas. Following the 1.6 update, which introduced a variety of new content, we’ve revised this guide to include new food recipes that aid your journey toward achieving 100% Perfection.
The Queen of Sauce

The primary way to learn new food recipes is by tuning into a weekly show dubbed The Queen of Sauce, which airs every Sunday. Players may watch the program at any hour during the day. During the first two years of gameplay, new episodes are released weekly—34 different recipes are available within this timeframe. Below is the chronological list of recipes:

*Recipes may also be obtained through other means.
Beginning in Year 3, The Queen of Sauce will begin to rerun its episodes in the original airing sequence. Additionally, matches can catch reruns on Wednesdays, which are more likely to showcase recipes that players have yet to unlock.
Interestingly, players may acquire cooking recipes even before obtaining the initial farmhouse improvement that introduces a kitchen, meaning there’s no reason to skip watching The Queen of Sauce each week.
Friendship Levels

Another intricate method of obtaining new recipes involves cultivating friendships with the residents of Pelican Town. Nearly every character with a friendship rating knows one or two unique recipes, which can only be learned once a specified heart level is reached. Typically, following the achievement of a certain heart rating, characters will mail their respective recipes to you the following day.
Notably, players don’t need to court every romancable character as only Shane and Emily provide exclusive food recipes, both of which run out upon reaching seven hearts.

Shops and Other Sources

While various recipes can be obtained through friendship ratings and The Queen of Sauce, several recipes can only be acquired from shops or by leveling up specific skills. Some of these will overlap with those featured on television, but every shop offers at least one essential recipe necessary for comprehensive collection.
As players engage in activities linked to different skills—including Farming, Mining, Foraging, Fishing, and Combat—they will gradually unlock further food recipes by reaching specified skill levels. The more dedicated you are in skill-related tasks, the quicker you progress, and the sooner you can access these exciting culinary options. For example, harvesting crops actively boosts your Farming skill, while collecting wild items like berries and mushrooms will enhance your Foraging ability.
Here’s a breakdown of recipes that become available as your skill levels rise:
Skill Level |

Combat 3 |

Fishing 3 |

Foraging 2 |

It’s important to note that certain consumables, like Field Snacks and Life Elixirs, do not qualify as food recipes since they can be crafted without a kitchen.
