Stalker 2 Guide: Unlocking the River Port Door in Pripyat

In the expansive world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players will encounter various intriguing locations, with Pripyat being one of the most compelling late-game areas. Among its many sites, the River Port stands out as an abandoned dock, rich with secrets and scattered loot. While the River Port may seem ordinary at first glance, a hidden stash awaits players behind a locked door, containing valuable resources.

Unlocking the River Port Door in Pripyat

The River Port can be located in the eastern area of Pripyat, specifically northeast of the Energetik Palace of Culture base. As players approach the River Port, the anomalous lights emitted from the main glass structure immediately catch the eye.

Inside, explorers will find two locked double doors in the rear hall, accompanied by unsettling sounds suggesting something lurks behind them. Fortunately, a stash is hidden within those doors, promising worthwhile loot. Here’s how to gain access.

Gaining Access to the Locked Door

To open the locked door, equip a grenade and position yourself in front of it. The door itself is obstructed by a couple of wooden planks, making a grenade a suitable tool for breaching it. You have two options for your grenade throw:

Aim to throw the grenade at the bottom of the door, allowing it to glitch through to the other side.
Alternatively, toss the grenade over the door into the gap in the wall above, targeting the space on the opposite side.

Either method will result in the door being blown open, revealing a menacing mutant inside.

Confronting the Chimera Mutant

Upon breaching the doors, players will face a Chimera that charges forward. It is crucial to sidestep quickly and prepare for battle. A sound strategy is to lure the Chimera into an open area where it can be engaged more effectively.

Utilizing a shotgun or an assault rifle with a grenade launcher will help players dispatch the Chimera with relative haste.
