In the thrilling adventure of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players will inevitably encounter areas that are locked and waiting to be explored. These sections often contain valuable loot, but gaining access requires the discovery of a key or code. A notable locked room exists in the Concrete Forest, situated within the Cement Factory region. To unlock this area, players must embark on a small climbing expedition to locate the key. Below, we provide a detailed guide on how to successfully unlock the Concrete Forest door.
Accessing the Locked Door in the Concrete Forest
The locked door is positioned on the western side of the Concrete Forest POI within the Cement Factory region. Specifically, it can be found on the first floor of a smaller building or tower connected by a metal pipe to a larger, rusting structure. Fortunately, the key for this door is located within the adjacent tower. Here’s how to reach it.
Locating the Key Inside the Tower
To retrieve the key, first direct your attention to a tall tower featuring a side staircase located to the right of the locked door. Carefully climb to the top of the tower, bearing in mind there’s an anomaly at the base which may inflict bleed damage. Proceed with caution as you ascend.
At the summit, you’ll discover a hole in the ground, which is covered by yellow-painted wooden boards. Use a weapon or a melee attack to break through the boards and reveal the opening. The fall will be cushioned due to a gravitational anomaly, ensuring a safe landing.
Beware of a lurking Poltergeist mutant in this area; dispatch it swiftly before searching for the key. Look for the body of Pvt. Babych lying on the ground. By looting this body, players can successfully obtain the key required to access the Concrete Forest locked door.
Back to the Locked Door: Unlocking the Concrete Forest
After successfully acquiring the key, return to the tower and break the boards covering the exit. Head back to the locked door and use the key to unlock it. Inside, you will discover a valuable SPSA-14 shotgun accompanied by some ammunition. Additionally, a locker on the table contains various useful consumables and further ammo.
