Successfully aiding him not only secures his survival but also opens the door to the underground tunnels in the vicinity, providing opportunities to discover valuable loot.
Your Guide to Saving Pvt. Tymchenko in Stalker 2
Pvt. Tymchenko can be found in a school situated in the Cement Factory region of Stalker 2, specifically in the Kopachi Point of Interest (POI). This location lies to the north of the Cement Factory base and east of the Slag Heap base. As you approach the school, your character Skif will receive an urgent radio call from Tymchenko, pleading for help.
Be prepared for an immediate assault as a swarm of Snork mutants will emerge from the building upon your arrival. These mutants will attack from various angles, necessitating a strategic approach. Focus on one Snork at a time, eliminate it, and then move on to the next to minimize chaos.
After successfully dispatching all the mutants, navigate to the school building and turn left to engage with Tymchenko. He will express his gratitude and may offer a reward for your assistance. Additionally, players who have previously encountered his body in The Zone can share stories about their shared fate.
Unlocking the Underground Tunnels in Kopachi
After assisting Tymchenko, look for an open door in the main hallway that leads to an underground tunnel. This path connects to a locked door further down, providing access to a hidden area. Proceed into the tunnel and follow the curving path until you reach a room populated with Snorks. Additionally, you will encounter several caved-in houses that are worth exploring for loot.
Methodically take out the remaining Snorks to ensure your safety, then search the underground section for useful items such as ammunition and medkits. Once you’ve gathered all the loot, head into one of the caved-in houses to your left where you will find a door obstructed by wooden boards. Breaking through these boards will lead you out of the tunnel and back to the surface.
