The Gauss Gun and Exoskeletons stand out as some of the most formidable late-game equipment available in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. While players are typically expected to unlock these items in the latter stages of the game, adventurous explorers can gain quick access to them by venturing into Pripyat early. In particular, you can snag a complimentary Operator Exoskeleton and an extended magazine attachment for your Gauss Gun, boosting its round capacity to 20. Below is a detailed guide on how to locate these coveted items.
How to Locate the Operator Exoskeleton & Gauss Gun Extended Magazine in Stalker 2

The coveted Operator Exoskeleton and the extended magazine for the Gauss Gun can be discovered within the Friendship Kindergarten Point of Interest (POI) located in the Pripyat area. This POI is essentially a former school building situated to the southeast of the Energetik Palace of Culture base.
As you approach the school from the playground side, look for a grate positioned in an open window near the entrance. You will need to leap over this grate to access the locked room containing these valuable items. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you gain access.
Accessing the Friendship Kindergarten Locked Room

Upon entering the building, you will notice a staircase leading to the upper floor. Once upstairs, navigate into the adjacent room, directing your attention to the broken window to the left of the doorway. The window still has shards of glass attached, which you’ll need to break with a melee attack using your knife.
After clearing the glass, position yourself at the window and look down. You will see the grate near the building’s entrance, which you must carefully land on. Make a steady leap onto the grate below to proceed.
Retrieving the Operator Exoskeleton and Gauss Gun Extended Magazine

Once you successfully navigate through the grate, enter the locked room in Friendship Kindergarten to claim your Operator Exoskeleton from the top of a shelf. Just below the Exoskeleton, you will find a stash containing the High-Capacity Gauss Gun Magazine attachment, along with additional valuable loot that you can collect.
The Operator Exoskeleton excels in terms of physical and radiation protection, equipping players with robust defenses across various scenarios. To attach the extended magazine to your Gauss Gun, you can do so via the inventory menu or by using the quick attachment feature.
