Apple Arcade, the tech giant’s ad-free subscription gaming service, is enhancing its offerings with the introduction of special SpongeBob SquarePants crossover events. Notably, games like Snake.io+ and Crossy Road Castle will be seamlessly integrating these beloved characters. In addition, SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit has introduced a new endless mode, promising added excitement for players.
Engaging Limited-Time Events for Families
The inclusion of popular characters like SpongeBob is a strategic move to maintain the interest of Apple Arcade’s family-oriented subscribers, particularly those with children enamored by these iconic figures.
Details on the Crossovers
Players diving into Snake.io+ will have the opportunity to unlock skins featuring SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Plankton by completing specific missions until August 25. Meanwhile, Crossy Road Castle will host two SpongeBob-themed events. The first, titled “Krabby Patty Kollectathon”, begins on July 21 and introduces 40 themed levels based in Bikini Bottom. The second event, called “Jellyfish Jam”, will occur between August 4-17, allowing players to race as their favorite characters.
A New Challenge Awaits in SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit
Starting today, players can explore SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit‘s new endless mode, which challenges players with increasingly tough levels devoid of checkpoints or extra lives, creating a competitive environment for leaderboard supremacy. It’s important to note that all crossover events are exclusive to Apple Arcade and available for a limited time.
More Exciting Short-Term Crossover Events
The upcoming SpongeBob events join other character crossovers such as Bluey in Fruit Ninja Classic+, which runs until September 19, and Paddington in Crayola Create and Play+, available through August 26. The Bluey crossover introduces four themed events featuring Bluey-themed wands and activities. Paddington offers players a chance to explore a whimsical British-inspired world.
