Overview of Recent Splatfest Results
- Team White Chocolate claims victory in Splatoon 3’s recent Splatfest, further extending Big Man’s impressive winning record.
- The game has ceased major content updates, leading to a cycle of revisiting previous Splatfests without introducing new alterations.
- Adjustments have been implemented in the Splatfest tallying system to mitigate overwhelming sweeps by dominant teams.
The latest Splatoon 3 Splatfest has concluded, with White Chocolate once again emerging as the champion. This continuation of victory not only reflects the gameplay trends but also cements Big Man’s reign in the competitive arena.
Although Splatoon 3 is set to host events like the forthcoming Eggstra Work mode in Salmon Run, it has officially halted major updates, thereby recycling earlier Splatfests from both the current title and its forerunners. The recent Chocolate Splatfest, which mirrored a similar event conducted in 2023, offered no fresh elements, maintaining the established teams and their leaders.
The results from the most recent Chocolate Splatfest further emphasized White Chocolate’s dominance. This victory not only reaffirmed outcomes from the previous year’s event but also highlighted Big Man’s continued success. A significant change was introduced with the Splatoon 3 7.0 update regarding how points are accumulated during Splatfests. Previously, only the top-ranking team in categories such as Votes or Tricolor Battles would secure points; however, under the new system, even the second-place team can earn points. Consequently, while White Chocolate succeeded in four of five categories during this event, Shiver’s Dark Chocolate team managed to secure victory in the Pro Battles category, with Frye’s Milk Chocolate team finding itself in second place for popularity.

Big Man’s Unstoppable Streak
One catalyst behind the adjustments made to Splatoon 3 was the prevalence of one-sided victories. To illustrate, before the 7.0 update—between April and September 2023—Shiver had an uninterrupted run of five wins. Currently, Big Man has secured a remarkable three consecutive wins, boasting the highest total of victories in standard Splatfests. This ongoing trend has left a segment of the player base expressing frustration, particularly due to the repetitiveness seen with the Chocolate Splatfest results.

Many members of the community contend that the introduction of three teams in Splatoon 3, as opposed to the two-team format seen in earlier versions, has resulted in unfair competitions. The statistics support this claim, with Big Man achieving 10 wins and Shiver amassing 9, while Frye’s team has only managed to secure victories three times since the game’s debut in 2022. Players are optimistic about potential reforms for Splatoon 4, although the future direction of the game remains uncertain at this stage.
