The suspense finally came to an end on October 30, when the reunion episode of Love is Blind Season 7 premiered on Netflix. The episode, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, featured participants reflecting on their experiences from the show and sharing updates on their lives after the experiment.
Among the couples, Nick and Hannah were one of the pairs that ended their relationship before reaching the altar. During the reunion, Nick faced accusations from Hannah regarding discoveries made in his personal journal. The writings expressed his ambition to become the most recognized figure from Love is Blind, which led Hannah to question the sincerity of his involvement in the show. In response, Nick denied any ill intentions and rejected claims that he made comments about Hannah’s appearance.
As tensions escalated during their discussion, Marissa intervened to lend her support to Hannah, holding Nick accountable for his journal entries. On the other hand, Garrett, who sided with Nick, deemed their confrontation “immature”and expressed a desire to move forward. Earlier, when Hannah’s behavior towards Nick was called into question, Garrett praised Nick for his patience. Reactions to Garrett’s comments varied, with some fans appreciating his perspective while others were less impressed.
A user on X, @CeciCordovaHN, remarked:
“Garrett: This is immature, and I’m counting down the seconds until we get past this. SPEAK LOUDER NERDY FASHIONISTA.”
“Garrett: ‘Nick showed a lot of patience, patience that I don’t know I would’ve had…’ THANK YOU, GARRETT, FOR SAYING THIS, BECAUSE THE CAST HAS BEEN WAY TOO QUIET ABOUT HANNAH’S BRATTY BEHAVIOR,”added another viewer.
“Garrett is being really honest by saying ‘this conversation is so immature, and I’m eager to move past it,’ yet he seemed to zone out for the next five minutes,”a third user tweeted.
Another viewer praised Garrett:
“Garrett is so real; this conversation is extremely immature and it’s just hearsay. I’m over it. Let’s move on.”
Some fans of Love is Blind called out Garrett for his remarks regarding others’ disputes. Criticism arose over his characterization of the conversation as immature.
“I’m not a fan of Garrett’s condescending remarks on other couples’ issues. Also, I have less respect for him due to his close relationship with Tyler and Tim. He seems disingenuous and domineering,”wrote another commentator.
“So, a woman and her friends are working to get her ex to recognize his derogatory comments about her looks, and Garrett decides to label the discussion as immature,”shared another user on X.
“Garrett, please be quiet. It’s not immature. If someone isn’t acting authentically, it absolutely needs to be addressed,”stated another fan.
Another participant commented:
“Garrett, just stop! That outfit is hideous. Nick supposedly called her a ‘grenade’. It needs to be discussed. Bye!”
Garrett’s Take on Nick, Hannah, and Marissa’s Dispute in Love is Blind Season 7 Reunion
When Vanessa prompted Nick about how he felt Hannah treated him throughout the Love is Blind journey, Nick expressed his respect for Hannah but noted that they often viewed situations differently. He addressed her comments related to his intelligence and financial acumen, indicating a divergence from his own perspectives.
Garrett then chimed in:
“Nick consistently displayed immense patience—patience I don’t think I’d have had. I’m very impressed by that aspect of him, though I’ve always known he’s a decent guy.”
When Hannah and Marissa confronted Nick about discussing Hannah’s looks with his Love is Blind friends, Nick adamantly denied such actions. The women referenced his alleged remark of calling her a “grenade,”which Nick claimed he couldn’t remember. Additionally, he faced accusations of participating in Love is Blind solely for celebrity status. Garrett responded with:
“I personally think this whole conversation is utterly immature. Honestly, I’m just counting down until we can move past it.”
Marissa disagreed with Garrett’s viewpoint, asserting that while Hannah might have been mistaken, Nick wasn’t entirely innocent either.
All seven seasons of Love is Blind are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
