Chapter 5 – Where to Locate All 11 Notes

1. Burrower’s Pieces of the Self

This note can be found immediately after discovering Crouton. Look for it within a hollow tree adjacent to the area where you send Crouton to tackle the stigma.

2. Statue Flyer

After progressing a bit further and completing your first combat encounter—during which you’ll also witness the first memory—look for this note sitting on a broken fence post, positioned beneath a sign and statue of Auntie Belle.

3. Burrower’s – Iron

This note is located just outside Jolene’s church, right after the cutscene featuring Ms. Pearle and Jolene. You’ll find it atop a box near the fence, immediately to your right once the scene concludes.

4. Hollow Dreamers

Once you’ve collected the last note, follow the strands that lead you across the water to a vine-covered house. The note can be found on a couch located on the house’s porch.

5. Kids Need a Hand

Following your first encounter with the Slug Haint and after absorbing the second memory of this chapter, you’ll discover this note inside the house directly in front of you, resting on a table to your left upon entering.

6. Jo’s Penance

This note lies further ahead, located at Swopes Farm. To access it, first use an echo box to climb a tall structure where you’ll spot a Floof knot. From this perch, leap over a stack of hay bales, then take a left toward a trailer, leading you to a small cabin where the note rests on a folding chair.

8. Honor thy Father and Mother

Returning to the high tower you climbed, head towards the large house on your right. Approaching it will cause the door to open, allowing you to collect this note found in the family room to your immediate right upon entry.

9. A Bashful Farmhand in the Setting Sun
