Successful candidates from the first application round will commence their roles on March 3, 2025, while those selected in the second round will begin their positions on April 1, 2025. Aside from the primary roles of QA game tester and QA Japanese localization tester, the openings also include positions for QA game testers with reduced hours and a Linguistic Quality Assurance Coordinator.
Responsibilities of QA Game Testers
The role of a QA game tester involves immersing oneself in various PlayStation Studios titles, identifying potential bugs or issues, and compiling detailed reports based on established checklists. Notably, this position will primarily focus on popular Japanese titles, such as Gran Turismo, Death Stranding, and Astro’s Playroom, which have been tested in the past.
The Role of QA Japanese Localization Testers
In a complementary capacity, QA Japanese localization testers will scrutinize the localized features of PlayStation Studios games, ensuring consistency with their original versions. This role is critical in identifying discrepancies between the source material and the localized editions. Previous projects for this position have included renowned titles such as God of War, The Last of Us, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and the Horizon series.
