Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – Complete Guide to Hatsune Miku Festival Rewards

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has introduced an exciting new feature, promising players a complimentary SEGA character approximately every month. This October, fans can look forward to the inclusion of Hatsune Miku, a character that doesn’t officially belong to SEGA, but her addition is certainly appreciated.

Hatsune Miku is receiving exceptional treatment compared to other downloadable content (DLC) characters. Players will enjoy multiple songs integrated into the base game, unique voice lines, charming hand-drawn emotes, and a stylish new outfit for her Extreme Gear. Notably, she is also recognized as the one and only Boost type character.

Miku will be the star of the first Festival, a recurring event scheduled for each new character release. These festivals promise a plethora of rewards tailored not just for the character but offering exciting items for all players.

The Hatsune Miku festival will take place from October 2, 2025, at 7:00 PM CST until October 5, 2025, at 6:59 PM CST. This provides players with nearly a full weekend to participate. It’s important to note that once the event concludes, there’s no certainty that the rewards will be offered again.

How to Participate

To join the Hatsune Miku festival, participants must play online and select the Festival mode, which temporarily restricts access to the regular online gameplay. It’s reminiscent of past events like Splatfests.

Once in the Festival Mode, the active game type will appear at the top right of the screen. Types include Tap Boost—where players score points by colliding with teammates—and straightforward modes like Air Trick and Ring Grab.

The goal is to accumulate the highest points among three teams of four players. Achieving top placements is crucial, but completing specific festival objectives will earn an additional ten points, which can significantly influence the results.

Getting First place in the Hatsune Miku Festival in Sonic Racing Crossworlds

To enhance your chances of success, it’s advantageous to collaborate with three other skilled players. If that’s not feasible, be prepared to play with random online teammates and rely on their cooperation.

No matter your performance, engagement in the festival earns you points towards your overall Festival score, netting rewards as you hit milestones. However, top placements yield significantly more points, making it imperative to strive for excellence.

Teams are randomly assigned for each match, but players will always be sorted to be on the same team as their chosen squad members. Since the rewards are a key aspect of participation, let’s dive into them in detail.

Loadouts

I’ve curated specific loadouts for each game mode to maximize your performance and mitigate any team skill disparities. I recommend using Gadget Plates for versatility and swapping them as needed.

For Tap Boost, choose a Power vehicle combined with an Acceleration or Handling character. Equip Collision Boost and Power Kit gadgets to boost your speed whenever you make contact with other players.

For Ring Grab, select any Ring Gain gadgets. My recommendations include Dash Panel Mini Bounty, Ring Thief, Starting Boost Bounty, and Air Trick Bounty paired with Air Trick Expert to enhance effectiveness.

For Air Tricks, opt for Air Trick Expert, Air Trick Adept, and a Boost-type vehicle to maximize your aerial maneuvers. The remaining gadget slots are yours to customize, but for consistency, consider incorporating Air Trick Bounty.
