Strategies for Solving the Fingerless Hand Puzzle
Upon discovering the fingerless hand, your goal will be to “solve the puzzle of the fingerless hand.”While the game offers no explicit directions, don’t be discouraged—this puzzle is manageable with a bit of exploration and clever use of your vampiric powers.
The challenge lies in locating the four scattered fingers throughout the building. To aid in your search, you will benefit greatly from utilizing your vampiric senses, which will reveal the locations of each missing finger.
Locating the First Finger
The initial finger can be found in a room located on the left side of the structure. Head through the circular doorway to enter. Inside, a gong stands to the left, with a bookshelf nearby. By activating your vampiric senses in this room, you will reveal the symbol engraved on your hand, located at the back of the bookshelf.
To align the symbol correctly, climb onto the bookshelf near the gong and look back towards the symbol’s location. Once the symbol aligns perfectly, it will disappear, providing an opportunity to use telekinesis to summon the first finger toward you.
Finding the Second Finger
The second finger is situated in a room on the right side of the underground area. This space features a partially destroyed staircase and two broken pillars. Activate your vampiric senses here to reveal the hand marking on the balcony and staircase areas.
To reveal the second finger, stand atop the protruding stones in the corner of the room, aligning the marking before successfully pulling the finger into view with your telekinesis.
Accessing the Third Finger
For the third finger, return to the vicinity of the hand and turn left towards the balcony where bookshelves are positioned. Activate your vampiric senses again to reveal the marking segments along the shelves.
Ensure you position yourself correctly with the bookshelves to align the marking and make the third finger appear.
Discovering the Fourth Finger
The final finger is found to the left of the fingerless hand. Approach the doorway to your left, where you should see the mark through the entry. You might need to adjust your position in the doorframe for alignment.
Once properly aligned, the fourth finger will materialize, completing your task of retrieving all four fingers.
Returning to the Hand
With all four fingers in hand (literally), head back to the fingerless hand in the main room. Interact with it, and you will trigger a cutscene showcasing the reattachment of the fingers.
This event will transport you to a serene flower field, reminiscent of a moment in Fabien’s memories, where you will confront the Gardener directly. Remember, many challenging battles await you later in the game. Therefore, it might be beneficial to unlock powerful abilities to enhance your chances of survival in future encounters.
