In the Solo Leveling Ragnarok narrative, we witness the story unfold years after the original saga. The introduction of Jinwoo’s son, Sung Suho, brings a fresh perspective. Suho is portrayed as a compassionate and brave young man, embodying the virtues of his parents. While new readers appreciate Suho’s journey, they are also eager for Jinwoo’s return.
At the outset, we learn that both Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In have mysteriously vanished, leaving their son in a state of uncertainty. For years, Suho navigates life without any clues about his parents’ fates. This status quo shatters as strange Gates emerge globally, leading to humans awakening powers to combat the monsters that inhabit these realms. Initially, Suho remains an ordinary human but unlocks remarkable abilities after a transformative event.
On a pivotal day, Beru, the Ant King, confronts Suho, unlocking repressed memories tied to his father. It is soon confirmed that Sung Jinwoo is alive, engaged in combat against the Outer Gods in outer space.
In Suho’s words, “My mother used to always tell me that I was becoming like my father quite well…so how would he have escaped this feeling of helplessness?”
Beru provides critical insights, including Suho’s significant progress following his connection with The System. Notably, Jinwoo had stifled Suho’s powers and memories to allow a normal upbringing. However, the war Jinwoo waged against the Itarim Gods inadvertently resulted in the emergence of the Gates on Earth.
