Sol Kyung-gu & Park Eun-bin cast in medical-crime-thriller drama series Hyper Knife

Media agency Dispatch has confirmed that Sol Kyung-gu, Park Eun-bin, Park Byung-eun, and Yoon Chan-young will star in the highly-anticipated drama Hyper Knife. The filming for the drama began on April 3 and the star-studded cast has already raised excitement among fans and potential viewers.

As stated by Hyper Knife, as reported by the Korean media outlet:

“We have confirmed the casting that raises expectations, including Sol Kyung-gu, Park Eun-bin, Park Byeong-eun, and Yoon Chan-young, and have begun filming.”

Playing the character of Se-ok, Park Eun-bin portrays a once highly regarded and talented doctor. When she crosses paths with her mentor Deok-hee, played by Sol Kyung-gu, a gripping clash of feelings and intellect ensues.

At the same time, Park Byung-eun, recognized for his performances in Eve and Because This is My First, has been cast as Han Hyun-ho, an anesthesiologist. Han Hyun-ho is deeply troubled by Se-ok’s untapped talent. On the other hand, Yoon Chan-young, known for his role in All of Us Are Dead, will portray Seo Young-joo, a friend of Se-ok.

The gripping storyline of Hyper Knife: A medical-crime-thriller drama series

The Hyper Knife delves into a captivating narrative that delves into the complexities of morality and drive as two gifted individuals collide and undergo a transformative journey together.

Despite being a brilliant student with a strong passion for studying the human brain, Park Eun-bin’s character, Se-ok, was once expelled by Deok-hee, a renowned neurosurgeon played by Sol Kyung-gu. Despite this setback, Se-ok’s exceptional abilities lead her to enter medical university at the young age of 17. Unfortunately, her career is derailed when she is accused of attempting to murder her mentor, Deok-hee, resulting in the loss of her medical license.

Despite being a passionate doctor, Se-ok has a hidden dark side to her personality in the current situation, as she performs as a shadow surgeon in an illegal clinic.

BLAAD Studio and Dongpung Co., Ltd., both well-known for their previous work, have come together to produce Hyper Knife, a groundbreaking combination of medical drama and crime thriller elements.

Latest Projects from Sol Kyung-gu and Park Eun-bin

In addition to Kill Boksoon, Sol Kyung-gu also starred in two other movies. These included The Moon, which featured Park Byung-eun, Do Kyung-soo of EXO, and Kim Hee-ae, and The Boys, which co-starred Yoo Jun-sang and Jin Kyung. In The Moon, Sol Kyung-gu portrayed Kim Jae-guk, a former head of a space center.

In The Boys, Sol Kyung-gu portrayed Hwang Jun-cheol, the leader of an investigative team tasked with reexamining a group of boys who were charged with robbery and causing a death.

Prior to this, Park Eun-bin starred in the romantic comedy K-drama Castaway Diva where she played the role of Seo Mok-ha, a young teenager who becomes stranded on an island. After 15 years, Mok-ha is eventually discovered by Kang Bo-gul (Chae Jong-hyeop), a TV show director.

The actress, Eunbin, stunned her fans with a solo fan concert on January 6, 2023, called “Eunbin Note: Diva,”where she showcased her exceptional vocals. Prior to the concert, she dropped her single album, Present, and performed the songs from it for the first time on stage.
