“Social Media Feels Calm Without You” — Blueface Shares Prison Photos, Internet Reacts Asking If He Is Missed

On September 25, 2024, rapper Blueface shared several images on his official Instagram account following his sentencing last month for probation violations stemming from an assault on a security guard in North Hollywood in 2021. The recent post featured a few blurred pictures of him holding a phone to his ear.

Despite the low quality of the photos, his face was still recognizable, and the caption read:

“Am I missing out or y’all missing me?”

Immediately, netizens began to react in the comments of The Shade Room’s Instagram post, which included the images. Some members of the public expressed that they were not missing him, with one user seemingly conveying their delight by stating:

“Social media is so calm without you.”

Blueface’s Mugshot Released Earlier This Month

Johnathan Jamall Porter, better known as Blueface, was serving his sentence at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles before being transferred to North Kern State Prison this month. His mugshot gained significant attention after TMZ acquired it about three weeks ago. Prison officials were planning to provide him with job training and classes to support his rehabilitation prior to release, assessing his criminal, medical, and psychological background to identify appropriate opportunities.

Reports indicate that Blueface turned himself in during January 2024, a moment captured on video later published by No Jumper. The video featured Johnathan stating:

“I’m handling some mandatory issues man. I’ll see you on the other side.”

Following this, Johnathan’s mother, Karlissa, confirmed the information through an Instagram Story, indicating that everyone was praying for him. She further added:

“Jaidyn got him one charge, Rock got him the one that violated the other. That’s why it’s so quiet praying everyone understands now why I didn’t want them together. Because parents want what’s best for their children. I love them all but not together. Praying for everyone to listen to their parents.”

As stated, Blueface was sentenced to four years in August 2024 after violating his probation. This was related to an incident that occurred at the Skinny’s Lounge in California on September 12, 2021, where Johnathan was asked by a bouncer to present identification.

While attempting to show the bouncer his popularity on Google, things escalated when the bouncer remained unsatisfied, leading to a confrontation in which Johnathan reportedly hit the bouncer along with two additional individuals. The bouncer suffered injuries that required hospitalization, prompting a battery report to be filed.
