In Sniper Elite: Resistance, discovering workbenches plays a crucial role in enhancing your gameplay and weaponry. These locations allow players to find valuable equipment upgrades and new weapon types.
Each campaign mission—excluding the initial one, Behind Enemy Lines—features three distinct workbenches. These setups are dedicated to upgrading various classes of weapons and occasionally offer entirely new firearms. While some upgrades may seem trivial, others can significantly change your tactical approach for the remainder of the campaign.
Many workbenches you encounter will have a few enemies lurking nearby. However, they should be manageable for any bold SOE operative.
To maximize your efficiency during these missions, be sure to follow the steps outlined in this guide to avoid the need for backtracking and replaying sections just to unlock crucial upgrades!
Behind Enemy Lines
Pistol Workbench: Various Attachments
In contrast to other maps, the Behind Enemy Lines mission does not feature any upgrades for submachine guns or rifles. The mission’s standard progression will lead you past the workbench.
After successfully pressurizing the dam in preparation for the Lancaster assault, make your way to the brick barn adorned with flowers at the entrance.
Look to your left for some wooden planks obstructing a hole in the wall. Clear these obstructions to access the workbench located deep within the barn.
Dead Drop
Rifle: Marksmanship Mods
Venture to the southwestern part of the map, located behind the church. Here, you’ll find a structure that allows you to climb to the second floor by using boxes placed along the street.
Ensure you have bolt cutters handy, as they are essential for breaking through the gate concealing the workbench within the building.
SMG: Control Mods
This workbench is the easiest to spot during the Dead Drop mission, situated conveniently by a primary mission goal, necessitating some combat to access it.
Within the castle where you search for Vertigo’s office, locate the gate adjacent to the main entrance on the left side. Use the bolt cutters to open it and reveal the workbench inside.
Pistol: Carbine Mods
Proceed to the northeastern corner of the map and enter the shop located beside a large building.
Exit through the rear right entrance to find a tunnel. After unlocking the gate, step into the room where you’ll discover the workbench awaiting you.

Rifle: Assault Mods
This workbench is highly valuable, as it grants your first access to a rifle suppressor.
After crossing the river—best approached via the eastern railroad—navigate down to the docks located between both bridges.
Look for the largest building on the western side of this area to find the workbench inside. Additionally, this location necessitates the elimination of a French collaborator for bonus points, so be strategic.
SMG: Capacity Mods
This workbench is also found early in the Sonderzüge Sabotage mission, adjacent to a key mission objective, which means you’ll need to battle your way through.
When searching for Vertigo’s office, find the gate left of the main entrance and use your bolt cutters to open it and access the workbench behind.
Pistol: Capacity Mods
Position yourself in the northeastern corner of the map. Enter a shop next to a sizable building.
Exit through the right-rear door and follow the tunnel. Unlock the next gate and enter the room where the workbench awaits.
Collision Course
Rifle: Mobility Mods
On the eastern bank of the dam, proceed northward until you come across a cluster of buildings.
Once inside, turn left at the corridor’s end and break into the left room after dispatching the German soldier at the desk to locate the rifle workbench.
SMG: Stability Mods
After destroying Nazi gear at the westernmost target along the railroad, seek out a gate positioned by the leftmost target.
Open it, descend the ladder, and enter the bunker to uncover the SMG workbench.
Pistol: Power Mods
Travel to the west side of the map, heading south until you reach a farmhouse with a Lorraine cross on its eastern edge.
Climb in using the vineyard vine, then search the northeastern corner of the farmhouse to find the pistol workbench.
Devil’s Cauldron
Rifle: Upgrade Materials
Approach the church located in the southwestern part of the map and look for the staircase.
Underneath this stairway is a lock you can pick to gain access to a basement containing the mission’s rifle workbench.
SMG: Barrel Mods
Head toward the southernmost tip of the map and follow the main road that leads to a tunnel filled with enemies.
Clear the area and enter the room on your left to find the workbench featuring SMG barrel upgrades.
Pistol: Stealth Mods
After crossing the northern bridge of the map, follow the tracks into a factory adorned with large Nazi flags near the tunnel entrance.
Access the workshop on your left, then ascend the stairs to the second floor where a locked door conceals the workbench. You can unlock it using either a key or a satchel charge.
Assault On Fort Rouge
Rifle: Caliber Conversion
This workbench is located in an intense area of the map, so ensure you stock up on ammunition beforehand.
Navigate to the northeastern part of the map and enter the bunker.
Follow the blue paint-marked path down a staircase to the main hangar, then continue until you reach the central room.
Disregard the ladder and exit the hangar, keeping the zipline on the left. When the corridor turns white, take a left and continue straight until you encounter a locked door that can be opened with a key or a satchel charge, leading you to the workbench.
SMG: Assault Mods
Follow the debris-covered road in the eastern section of the map until you come across a stairwell heading underground.
Descend, remove the boards obstructing the funnel, then proceed along the corridor to discover the workbench.
Pistol: Weight Reduction
Using the kill list area as a reference, navigate to the top corner of the abbey, positioned northeast from his location.
Locate the shed in the northeastern corner. Pick the lock and then find the workbench directly opposite the entrance.
Lock, Stock, and Barrels
Rifle: Muzzle Mods
Look out for the farmhouse situated in the southwestern corner of the map, just south of the road’s fork and adjacent to the river.
Climb to the second floor using the vines to locate the workbench hidden inside the room.
SMG: Recoil Mods
Using the main objective manor as a point of reference, head east and follow the road south until the last building before the forest area.
Enter the barn and ascend to the second floor to find the workbench located there.
Pistol: Caliber Conversion
At the northwestern edge of the map, locate the building adjacent to curved black tracks, right south of the optional objective with straight-edged tracks.
Near the entrance, you’ll find a green ladder leading to the second floor. Once inside, turn left to find the workbench.
End of the Line
Rifle: Recoil Mods
This workbench is nearly impossible to overlook as it’s situated within the main objective area of the factory.
Head up the central staircase, pass the control room, and turn right until you find a locked room at the building’s corner. Open it with a key or demolish the door to reveal the workbench.
SMG: Handling Mods
Make your way to the railroad located in the northwestern part of the map, keeping the map boundary on your right until you reach the warehouse at the western edge.
Upon entering, ascend the stairs to uncover the workbench located near the Nazi flag.
Pistol: Marksmanship Mods
Seek out the house located near one of the flak guns within the optional objective area on the southeastern edge of the map.
Climb the vines alongside the building to access the second floor, and then descend the stairs to locate the workbench.
