Rebellion Developments’ Sniper Elite 5 continues to set the standard for tactical shooters, even with newer titles launched in the market. Although titles like Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior and Sniper Elite: Resistance veer more toward spin-offs, they still capture elements similar to the fifth installment.
Besides the iconic slow-motion bullet camera, collectibles enhance the gaming experience, and Sniper Elite 5 is no exception. One of the crucial collectibles is the Workbenches, which players utilize to upgrade their weaponry. Thus, locating all 24 Workbenches in Sniper Elite 5 is essential but presents its challenges.
Updated on February 20, 2025, by Mark Sammut: With the positive reception of Sniper Elite: Resistance in 2025, players can explore this fresh entry via Game Pass on Xbox or PC or revisit the classic Sniper Elite 5. However, those eager to discover all Workbench locations may need a bit of assistance.
Mission 1: The Atlantic Wall
Mission 1 features 3 Workbenches.
Workbench 1/3
The first Workbench is situated in the Starting Area of Chapter 1. Upon entering the room and neutralizing the enemy, players will find the Rifle Workbench on one side, just behind a guard.
Workbench 2/3
The second Workbench lies near the Optional Objective to Destroy the Gun Battery. Players should proceed northwest from the Gun Battery to discover a small building. The Pistol Workbench, ideally suited for enhancing one of the potent Pistols in the game, is immediately visible upon opening the door.
Workbench 3/3
The third Workbench is located within Marcel’s Home. Here, the SMG Workbench can be found on the third floor, underneath a French Resistance flag.
Mission 2: Occupied Residence
This mission includes 3 Workbenches.
Workbench 1/3
Players can find the first Workbench on the eastern side of the map. They must infiltrate the rectangular building nearest to the road, eliminating a guard to loot an Armory Key, required to enter the Armory. Inside, they’ll discover the Pistol Workbench.
Workbench 2/3
The second Workbench is positioned west of the main residence, in proximity to the wheat fields. Players must navigate to the rear of the L-shaped building (Chateau Stables) and ascend the vines to find the SMG Workbench next to a French Resistance flag.
Workbench 3/3
The final Workbench of this mission resides within the main Residence itself. From the main courtyard, players should find the ramp that descends into the cellar, where the Rifle Workbench awaits, situated beneath a Nazi flag alongside some looted antiques.
Mission 3: Spy Academy
This chapter features 3 Workbenches.
Workbench 1/3
Players will find the first Workbench in the southeast quadrant of the Academy. Given that this area is a hotspot for Invasions, players should be cautious. Upon reaching the southeastern sector, hop onto a ledge leading to an open room where the SMG Workbench rests beneath a French Resistance flag.
Workbench 2/3
The second Workbench is also on the Academy grounds but requires an Armory Key. Moving up the stairs from the south side of the Academy, players should enter a room guarded by several foes. After acquiring the Armory Key from a guard, ascend adjacent stairs to locate the Armory behind a blue door, housing the Pistol Workbench.
Workbench 3/3
The last Workbench in this mission lies on the Academy’s northwest outskirts. Players must ascend a wall section and climb a tower. At the summit, a small room containing the Rifle Workbench can be found, albeit guarded—players can opt to eliminate or spare them.
Mission 4: War Factory
This mission has 3 Workbenches.
Workbench 1/3
The first Workbench is located in the Smelting Vat building, on the second floor inside an Armory. Players must neutralize the guards nearby to secure the Armory Key.
Workbench 2/3
Players can find the second Workbench near the Scrapyard, within a structure featuring two large green doors. Inside, seek out a locked green door leading to a room with a ladder; the Rifle Workbench awaits at the ladder’s top.
Workbench 3/3
The third SMG Workbench lies just north of the Shipping Warehouse. Upon arriving in front of an orange edifice, players must ascend a ladder to discover a locked door. A Charge Satchel or the Armory Key is necessary to unlock this door.
Mission 5: Fortress Guernsey
This mission hosts 3 Workbenches.
Workbench 1/3
The first Workbench is positioned inside the belfry of a church. Accessible by climbing vines on the church’s side, the Rifle Workbench allows players to craft more lethal rifles.
Workbench 2/3
The second Workbench can be discovered in the northern part of the map near some trenches. Players should enter the trenches, turning right when they reach the Flak 18 Anti-Air Gun. The Pistol Workbench is located within a dugout, positioned in front of a Nazi flag.
Workbench 3/3
The final Workbench in this mission is situated within a house to the southwest of the construction site, which features an Optional Objective. Players will need to pick the lock or utilize bolt cutters to enter the house; beneath a table and down a ladder lies the SMG Workbench.
Mission 6: Liberation
Mission 6 contains 3 Workbenches.
Workbench 1/3
The first Workbench is situated near barns located south of the map. After entering the first barn (closest to the road) and ascending some stairs, a hole in the wall will lead players through the scaffolding to find the Pistol Workbench.
Workbench 2/3
The second Workbench can be discovered inside a sizable house located between the town and barns. Players need to be cautious when entering to avoid enemies and must clear debris covering a hole in the floor. Descending the hole will unveil a Resistance SMG Workbench.
Workbench 3/3
The final Workbench is located right before the northern bridge. Players need to climb some vines on the right side of a house to reach the Rifle Workbench.
Mission 7: Secret Weapons
This chapter includes 3 Workbenches.
Workbench 1/3
The first Workbench (Pistol) is found inside a cave located southwest of the map. Players should venture left of the bridge shown in the image and head towards the waterfall. The Workbench is situated within the cave adjacent to the waterfall.
Workbench 2/3
After penetrating the large dome on the map’s north side, players can locate the second Workbench. Within the dome, they should head downstairs, passing by several guards, ultimately finding an Armory. By looting the guards for an Armory Key, players can unlock the Armory containing the SMG Workbench.
Workbench 3/3
The mission concludes with the final Workbench located near the Lake Compound investigation area. Players should enter the compound, turning right at the corridor’s end to find the Armory with the Rifle Workbench inside. Accessing this location requires either an Armory Key or a Satchel to break in.
Mission 8: Rubble and Ruin
The final mission boasts 3 Workbenches.

The second Workbench sits in the central area of the map, within the cathedral. Players will need to ascend a ladder and enter a gap in the roof to discover the Pistol Workbench waiting above.
Workbench 3/3
Lastly, the final Workbench is found inside the U-Boat compound. Access requires an Armory Key, as it is locked in an Armory. Inside, players will find the Rifle Workbench ready for their enhancements.
