On January 12, SPOTV NEWS announced that Hearts2Hearts is set to debut in February. This exciting news was unveiled during the SMTOWN Live 2025 event, which took place at the iconic Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.

The event featured a captivating trailer that not only revealed the group’s name—Hearts2Hearts—but also highlighted that this would be the first new girl group for SM Entertainment since the debut of aespa in 2020. Notably, this new ensemble will comprise eight members, according to the report.
During the trailer, SM Entertainment took a trip down memory lane, showcasing the members in a video that evoked early Y2K aesthetics. Fans could see the girls engaging in playful activities, showcasing their chemistry in various settings, and performing synchronized choreography.

According to reports, the group is expected to include four Korean and four international members. Fans have already managed to identify six out of the eight members: Jooeun, Haram, Carmen, Jiwoo, Yuna, and Nayeon.
Significantly, Carmen will make history as SM’s first-ever Indonesian K-pop idol.
