According to a report from E Daily on November 5, 2024, SM Entertainment has announced their intentions to debut a fresh K-pop girl group in the first quarter of 2025. To bolster their artist lineup, the agency is set to implement proactive promotional strategies throughout the last quarter of 2024 and into 2025.

“SM is not only building artist IPs that span all generations of K-pop through the debut of new artists that have been loved for a long time but also through the debut of new artists that have continued since last year. We will further solidify our artist lineup through the debut of a new girl group next year.”
