Skype 8.129 has officially launched for Skype Insiders across all supported platforms. This month’s update aims at enhancing various features of the messaging application on Android, Windows, iOS, and more. The rollout of this update is gradual, so it may take a day or two for it to reach your device.

  • Do Not Disturb (DND) Fix on Android: Resolved the issue of incoming calls bypassing the “Do Not Disturb”mode on Android devices.
  • Screen Sharing Popup Correction on Windows: The sharing screen button previously failed to trigger the appropriate sharing popup, which has now been fixed.
  • OneAuth SSO Account Issues on iOS Fixed: An issue preventing functionality of accounts listed after reinstalling Skype has been rectified.
  • Search Functionality for Lobby Join Links on Mac: Pasting a join link in the search function now correctly opens the lobby.
  • Default Child Account Search Disabled: By default, child accounts will not appear in search results for enhanced privacy.
  • Notification Avatars Visible on iOS: Resolved an issue where user avatars were not visible in iOS notifications.
  • Fraudulent Translated Conversations: New options have been introduced to block users sending fraudulent translated conversation requests.
  • TwinCam User Information Correction on Mobile: Fixed incorrect user information display when joining a TwinCam session.
  • Blank QR Code Issue on TwinCam: Addressed occurrences where clicking TwinCam during a call displayed a blank QR code on mobile.
  • Improved Font Size Adjustment: Fixed readability issues related to oversized font sizes experienced by some users.
  • License Text Visibility on Mac: The truncation of license text in some languages, such as Czech, has been corrected for improved clarity.
