The successful development of HBM4 enables We hynix to ramp up mass production, reinforcing its commitment to advancing technology that supports the AI-driven future. This move is a strategic effort to solidify its footing as a leader in AI memory solutions globally.

As demand for AI applications and data processing accelerates, the requirement for high-bandwidth memory is becoming increasingly critical. Furthermore, power efficiency is a crucial factor due to the rising energy costs associated with data center operations. We hynix anticipates that HBM4, characterized by enhanced bandwidth and reduced power consumption, will effectively address these evolving customer needs.
With its mass production capabilities firmly in place, HBM4 boasts an industry-leading data processing speed and exceptional power efficiency. This memory technology features a remarkable doubling of bandwidth, achieved through the integration of 2, 048 I/O terminals compared to its predecessor, alongside a power efficiency improvement exceeding 40%.Notably, We hynix expects the implementation of HBM4 to enhance AI service performance by as much as 69%, effectively addressing the data bottleneck and driving down data center power expenses.

In a further demonstration of innovation, We hynix has surpassed the JEDEC standard operating speed of 8 Gbps, achieving remarkable speeds of over 10 Gbps in its HBM4 design.
