Sister Wives star Janelle Brown shares moments from ceremony honoring late son Garrison
A tribute ceremony was held by the Nevada National Guard to honor Robert Garrison Brown, the late son of Janelle Brown from Sister Wives. The ceremony took place at the Clark County Armory in Las Vegas, and Janelle, 54, shared glimpses of the event with her fans on Instagram on Saturday, March 30.
Sadly, Garrison lost his life at the young age of 25 on March 5, 2024. Janelle and his father Kody Brown shared the heartbreaking news of his passing on social media. His brother Gabriel, 22, was the one who found him deceased in his home in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The Instagram post featured multiple photos from the ceremony, showing Nevada National Guard soldiers folding Garrison’s burial flag. One photo depicted the soldiers lifting their rifles in honor of the young boy, while another showed a soldier comforting Garrison’s mother who was grieving.
Janelle’s emotional state was evident as she sat next to her 27-year-old son, Hunter Brown. Other members of her Sister Wives family were also present in the camera frame. In one photo, a guard can be seen kneeling to present Janelle with Garrison’s burial flag, causing her to shed tears. Janelle shared moments from the honoring ceremony on social media, where she captioned the post with:
“It’s been hard to get my brain to work properly again. I am so grateful for the outpouring of love and support I’ve received these last three weeks. The support has been overwhelming. I am honored. So many of you shared stories of your loved ones. So many of you wrote of your thoughts and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
The ceremony, which took place on Sunday, March 24 at the Clark County Armory, was led by the Sister Wives star who added:
“Garrison was honored by family members and by his National Guard Unit last Sunday at a celebration of life ceremony. He would have loved it.”
Janelle Brown also suggested that her Sister Wives family has faced critical remarks on social media following the loss of her son. While coping with her son’s passing and handling public response, Janelle viewed the commemorative ceremony as a “lovely moment”for her family. She concluded her Instagram post by stating:
“I am sharing some of the photos. Many you have already seen a lot of these online, often with snarky comments accompanying them. But this was a beautiful moment for us.”
According to People, in addition to Janelle, Garrison’s father Kody Brown, his wife Robyn, and his brothers Gabriel, Hunter, and Logan, were also present at the ceremony. Along with them were the other members of Garrison’s squad, to which he belonged.
The young soldier was also remembered through a speech delivered by the Nevada National Guard unit.
Janelle, star of Sister Wives, announced the passing of her son on Instagram on March 5, stating:
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
Janelle and her Sister Wives family asked fans to respect their privacy during that time.
