TLC has premiered the sixth episode of Season 19 of its long-running reality series, Sister Wives, on October 20, 2024, at 10 PM ET. Following the broadcast, viewers can catch the episode on Hulu the next day for streaming.
Sister Wives delves into the personal lives of the Brown family, featuring Kody Brown along with his four partners: Robyn, Christine, Janelle, and Meri, and illustrates the intricacies of their polyamorous dynamics.
The earlier episodes of this season detailed Kody’s growing distance from his wives, barring Robyn. A family reunion for Mykelti’s baby shower brought everyone together after an extended period apart, and Christine’s revelation about her new relationship took Kody by surprise.
Meri previously finalized her divorce from Kody but maintained a “spiritual”marriage until their separation in 2023. Meanwhile, Christine left Kody in late 2021, and Janelle ended her relationship after three decades in 2022.
TLC’s synopsis for episode 6 states:
“The Browns celebrate Christmas apart; Christine discusses her new boyfriend, David, with her children; Kody confronts Meri during an intense discussion, blaming her for their divorce; Janelle seeks to resolve the property dispute with Kody and move forward.”
What transpired in Sister Wives Season 19 Episode 6?
Following their separations, the wives of the Brown family began leading separate lives, reflecting on their holiday experiences apart during Christmas. Meri opted to celebrate in Salt Lake City with friends.
Mykelti took a moment to reflect on how family dynamics have shifted post-split, while Janelle found herself emotional in the kitchen, a setting she previously shared with her sister wives.
“I think this will gradually become the new normal, and that’s okay,”Janelle expressed.
During their gathering at Mykelti’s place, Christine confided in her children about her new partner David Woolley, who embraces her polyamorous lifestyle.
Mykelti was taken aback to learn that David had proposed just a week after they met, sharing that his embrace soothed her as she listened to his heartbeat.
In Sister Wives, Janelle spent time with her daughter Madison to discuss property they co-own with Kody in Coyote Pass. Madison expressed her desire for Janelle to relocate to Montana to inspect a potential new home.
Janelle voiced her frustration over Kody’s lack of urgency in selling the property, emphasizing her wish to move on and embrace a new chapter in her life.
Later, Kody and Meri had a long-overdue conversation where they revisited their past relationship and the breakup. Meri conveyed feeling blindsided by Kody’s decision to separate, a sentiment Kody refuted, opting instead to express his feelings in a confessional.
“Don’t blame me for not loving you; I was fulfilling my obligations. Blame yourself if I don’t love you,”Kody stated in a confessional.
Meri clarified her intentions on Sister Wives, stating she wasn’t attempting to place exclusive blame on Kody, but was merely pointing out that he chose not to work on their bond. Kody, in defense, mentioned he could have “pretended”to make it work but preferred to be truthful about his emotions.
He also attributed part of his decline in feelings to Meri’s actions.
Christine’s date with David led her to feel that he might be her soulmate, helping her understand Kody’s preference for Robyn’s company.
Meri informed Kody that she is no longer his wife, leaving Kody contemplating the implications for their future.
New episodes of Sister Wives premiere on Sundays at 10 PM ET on TLC.
