Meri Brown, a prominent figure from the reality series Sister Wives, has recently opened up about her intentions to remarry, while also making veiled remarks about her former husband, Kody Brown. The couple, who married in April 1990 shortly after starting their relationship, evolved into a polygamous family by welcoming Janelle Brown in 1993 and Christine Brown in 1994. However, the dynamics shifted dramatically when Robyn Brown joined the family in 2010. Just a few years later, Kody made the controversial decision to legally divorce Meri to marry Robyn and adopt her children from a previous relationship.
The introduction of Robyn led to growing feelings of neglect among Kody’s first three wives, as they felt increasingly sidelined. The family’s situation deteriorated during the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw Kody further distancing himself from his adult children. By November 2021, Christine’s departure marked the beginning of a significant shift, with Janelle and Meri also opting for separation between 2022 and 2023. Ultimately, Kody found himself in a monogamous relationship with Robyn, having lost all three of his previous wives, a situation that seems to bring him both sadness and relief as it allows him to focus solely on his new family.
Meri’s Desire for a “Tall Guy”
Kody’s Height: Less Than Six Feet
The compatibility between Meri and Kody has often been called into question. Their early marriage was soon consumed by the arrival of new partners, which left little room for their own relationship. With Robyn’s entry into the equation, Meri’s feelings of inadequacy deepened, exacerbated by her emotional connection to someone she met online. Kody’s unforgiving attitude towards this situation further complicated matters.
Determined to salvage her marriage, Meri made substantial efforts, but Kody’s lack of reciprocation led her to ultimately end their relationship. Currently, Meri is focusing on her business, WorthUp, while also enjoying life as a dedicated dog mother.
Despite her tumultuous past, Meri has not ruled out the possibility of remarriage if she meets the right person. In an interview with Parade Magazine, she articulated the qualities she seeks in a partner. “I’m looking for someone who’s independent, treats me with kindness, honesty, and respect, and can meet my energy,”she stated, highlighting a stark contrast to Kody’s demeanor. Notably, Meri expressed a preference for taller partners, which many fans interpreted as a subtle jab at Kody, who stands at about 5-foot-11—just 4 inches taller than Meri herself.
Meri’s Previous Indirect Critiques
Subtle Jabs at Kody

In recent times, Meri has become more willing to express her feelings openly. Previously, however, she opted for more cryptic messages to convey her discontent regarding Kody. For instance, following her split from Kody in January 2023, she shared an anonymous quote on Instagram: “Never apologize for having high standards. Those who genuinely wish to be in your life will rise to meet them.”In another post, Meri hinted at her unwillingness to overlook unacceptable behavior from others, irrespective of unconditional love.
Meri’s Thoughts on Kody: Still Linger?
Reflecting on 35 Years Since Meeting Kody
While Meri has previously sought to repair her relationship with Kody, she now seems to have gained clarity regarding her feelings. The TLC star is embracing a new chapter in her life and exploring opportunities in dating, though she has yet to enter into an exclusive relationship.
Despite her progress, there are signs that Meri retains a soft spot for Kody, as old emotions continue to surface. While she maintains a cordial relationship with him, often recalling past moments, she communicates her feelings through pointed remarks rather than direct interactions. Notably, she recently acknowledged the 35th anniversary of meeting Kody with a heartfelt post, stating, “I had this realization that today, 35 years ago, I met who would eventually become my ex-husband.”This reflection underscores that Meri may still harbor some emotional connection to her estranged husband.
