Sister Wives Fans Criticize Kody and Robyn’s Parenting as Ari Questions Christine

The latest episode of Sister Wives premiered on Sunday, September 29, 2024. During one segment, Kody shared that his and Robyn’s youngest daughter, Ariella “Ari”Brown, expressed her dislike for Christine, attributing it to Christine’s departure from the family. He noted that even though Ari claimed not to know Christine well enough to have negative feelings, her words indicated a sense of “loyalty”to her father.

Kody acknowledged the emotional distress Ari felt whenever he divided his time among his wives and their children. Robyn recognized that their daughter required her father’s attention, but she felt powerless to stop him from spending time with his other wives.

In a confessional clip, Janelle pointed out that her kids were raised with the understanding that their father would not always be available. As a result, they learned to adapt to this lifestyle. However, while discussing Ari’s preferences and feelings, Janelle criticized Kody and Robyn, labeling it as “poor parenting”on their part.

Fans of Sister Wives took to X to express their views on Ari’s comments. Many believed that a young child would not be aware of her father’s personal issues unless discussed in her presence. They criticized Kody and Robyn for exposing their children to adult matters.

“Ari is the proof, Robyn and Kody talked about the others often, their kids saw the others as enemies. That wasn’t right,”a fan wrote.

“Ari learned how to speak like that from Robyn, didn’t she now?”another fan commented.

“Ari said she doesn’t like Christine and knows she left Kody? Gee I wonder where she got that from,”a netizen tweeted.

Numerous Sister Wives fans were critical of Kody and Robyn’s parenting choices.

“I wonder if Kody and Robyn don’t talk about the other wives or kids how young Ari knows Christine left Daddy? Let’s all pretend Robyn isn’t filling their head with nonsense and creating this dynamic of us vs. them,”a user reacted.

“Ari is an example why nurturing parents must keep kids out of grown folks business. Kids can’t help but choose sides. Always talk privately to avoid kids hating on someone just to be loyal to you,”one person commented.

“Ari should not be saying she hates Christine. That’s all Robyn and Kody filling her head with info,”another fan wrote.

“Kody is sick!! Now Ari doesn’t like Christine because she left you? I can imagine the conversations had in front of her,”a user tweeted.

Additionally, some Sister Wives supporters suggested that Kody was using Ari’s comments as a “scapegoat”to justify his treatment towards the other wives.

“Is he trying to make Ari a scapegoat,”another person responded.

“Robyn is using Ari’s attachment to Kody as an excuse to why he couldn’t be active in the other homes,”one netizen commented.

Sister Wives star Janelle criticized Kody and Robyn’s parenting

In the recent episode, Kody acknowledged that the challenges of uniting all his families were “just difficult.”He reflected on Ari’s remark about disliking Christine, admitting he tried to correct her. Ari responded:

“Well, she left Dad, and I don’t like her.”

Kody stated he understood her feelings, interpreting them as a sign of “loyalty.”He claimed that this sense of “loyalty”was developing among the family members. He recounted an instance where he attempted to leave for Janelle’s place, but Ari insisted he stay. He asked Robyn to “drag her”away, but she suggested he “take five”and allow Ari to express her emotions. As a result, he found it challenging to leave her for extended periods.

Meanwhile, Janelle expressed that she raised her children expecting their father wouldn’t always be present. She believed Kody and Robyn had “mismanaged the situation with their children.”

“I always felt like Kody and Robyn mismanaged the situation with their children. He couldn’t be away for more than three or four days because Ari just gets so sad or whatever. I feel like that was poor parenting,”Janelle remarked.

Although Robyn denied preventing Kody from visiting his other wives, Janelle strongly disagreed. She noted that Robyn introduced a sense of “separateness”in their family. Janelle added that her children faced reprimands for accessing Robyn’s refrigerator.

Likewise, Christine discussed her children’s strained relationship with Kody. They expressed frustration about visiting Robyn’s home because it was difficult for them to witness Kody and Robyn as a couple. Despite these tensions, Robyn revealed she was “going through a lot of mourning,”having lost her plural family.
