Sister Wives Fans Call Out Robyn for Questioning Janelle’s Money Recovery Decision: “The Nerve!!!!!”
Season 19 of Sister Wives premiered on Sunday, September 22, 2024, featuring an episode where Janelle Brown revealed that her ex-husband Kody and his only wife, Robyn, owed her money related to the property financing she partook in.
Janelle disclosed that she, along with the other wives, had contributed to the down payment of Robyn’s house in Flagstaff, Arizona. She claimed that Kody prevented her from adding her name to the mortgage at that time and continuously delayed settling the payment due within six months. As a result, Janelle expressed her desire to recover some of her investment in Robyn’s home.
However, Robyn appeared to have a different perspective. She questioned Janelle’s intentions regarding calculating her share of the investment, indicating it could be complex since their contributions were made as a family.
Fans of Sister Wives quickly took to X to criticize Robyn for her comments. Many accused her of wanting to benefit from the financial contributions of the other wives and questioned her reaction to Janelle wanting to reclaim her money.
“The nerve!!!!! While the rest were working, Robyn never even had a job. All she brought into the family was her freaking debt!”a fan wrote.
“No Robyn…it’s not confusing to calculate what Janelle is owed. Her profits from her Vegas house that went into your Flagstaff house should be returned to her,”another fan commented.
“Scumbag Kody and Robyn had BETTER repay Janelle her money. Robyn, Janelle will have no problem calculating what you owe her, you dumba**,”a netizen tweeted.
Numerous Sister Wives fans voiced their disapproval of Robyn’s comments, asserting that Janelle deserved to recover her money from a home she would not inhabit.
“Robyn, you didn’t learn to budget. The family paid off your $60k debt. The audacity!!!!!!!”a user reacted.
“ALL the family money was poured into Robyn’s house?! All of it?! B**ch?! Nah. Janelle and the others better get their coins back. Immediately. Otherwise, the others should confront her to rectify it. Diabolical a** sh*t,”one person commented.
“I loved when Robyn said she wouldn’t even know how to give Janelle her part of the house because they were all ‘working together’ and it was ‘for the family.’ Ummmm, you give her the money she put in—it is literally quantifiable, Robyn,”one fan wrote.
“How can Robyn sit there and act surprised that Janelle wants some of her money back for her lavish house? She’s truly evil,”another user tweeted.
Additionally, certain Sister Wives fans speculated that Robyn might want to keep Janelle in the family dynamic, hoping to rely on her financial support.
“Robyn hopes Kody will build relationships with Meri and Janelle, not out of familial affection but to ensure those women can fund her lifestyle,”one person reacted.
“Robyn’s loyalty lies with the lifestyle she has been able to sustain with the help of all the sister wives,”another fan tweeted.
“It’s so confusing”— Comments from Sister Wives star Robyn on Janelle’s demand
During the recent episode titled “Let There Be Light,”Janelle drove out of Flagstaff with her daughter Madison Brush, exploring the possibility of a new home in Montana. Following her separation from Kody, Janelle expressed a desire to live in a place where she could garden and keep some animals, which Kody was not particularly fond of.
In a conversation with Madison, Janelle reiterated that Kody had not permitted her to put her name on the mortgage.
“When I put the money into the house, I asked, ‘Well, I think it would be fair if all of our names were on the mortgage’ and he’s like, ‘No, no, we need to protect, you know, protect Robyn’s estate. She needs to have it so it’s hers and so it’s ours,’”Janelle explained.
Nevertheless, when Robyn learned about Janelle’s intention to reimburse herself, she expressed confusion. She argued that there were no clear distinctions about who owed what within their familial setup, given that everyone contributed as a unit.
Robyn stated that they had been “working together”for a long time and had only recently ceased doing so.
“When Janelle brings up that Kody and I owe her something, I wonder, how do you calculate? How do you figure that out? It’s so confusing,”Robyn stated.
Simultaneously, Kody was unwilling to disclose information to Janelle regarding Coyote Pass and their collective assets. Janelle expressed her belief that Kody had to settle the matter. During a conversation with Christine, she confessed that if Kody continued to resist buying her out, she would consider pursuing legal action against him.
