Upon entering an enchanting new realm, Simon embarks on a quest to locate the lost tomes of the First Wizard, a crucial step for his return home. The initial challenge in this point-and-click adventure is to gain access to The Academy—an esteemed institution for aspiring wizards.

As is typical in tales of adventure, Simon encounters a formidable obstacle: a giant troll stationed at the entrance. To gain entry to The Academy, he must substantiate his identity as a student by presenting either his student pass or that of another, alongside his trusty wand.

However, therein lies a paradox; accessing The Academy is essential to retrieving both the wand and the student pass. Luckily for Simon, he possesses the inclination to bend the rules just a bit.

Locating the Wand

To begin, your first objective is to locate a wand. Make your way to Mundus’ Magical Marvels, where a new conversational option appears—asking Mundus if he has a wand available. Indeed, he does, but he requires a trade of an item of equivalent value.

This is where your broken wizard toy comes into play. Throughout your journey, you’ve gathered whispers about Mundus, notably from the innkeeper, who mentions Mundus’s fondness for cursed objects.

To successfully negotiate for the wand, you’ll need to weave three convincing lies. These fabricated claims include:

  1. A depiction of a legendary wizard from ancient times.
  2. Details about its craftsmanship in a mythical, far-off land.
  3. A reminder that it has a curse attached to it.

By employing these three cleverly concocted tales, you will sway Mundus to relinquish his wand. However, Simon faces another twist—this wand is as damaged as Ron’s in the Chamber of Secrets. Your next task is to procure some glue.

Acquiring and Unsealing the Glue

While at Mundus’ shop, don’t forget to grab the peculiar tentacle for future use. Next, venture out and take a right, bypassing The Academy road and heading towards the church. Follow the path to the fork and ascend into the dilapidated building marked with a red X on its door.

Within this abandoned structure, you will discover the glue, though it is firmly sealed. Combine the tentacle you’ve collected with the glue in your inventory, and voila! You’ll have glue that is now primed for use.

Repairing the Wand

Now it’s time to repair the broken wand. Combine the wand with the glue, and before you can utter “Flambergo, ”you will have an almost brand-new wand ready for action. With wand in hand, return to the troll and seek entry into The Academy to continue your adventure in Simon The Sorcerer Origins.

For a delightful Easter egg, use the wand on Simon himself, which will unlock the achievement titled ‘Magical Accident’.
