However, players face the challenge of limited inventory space early on, compelling them to make critical choices about which items to retain and which to discard. Since every item has its unique utility, removing a valuable item from your inventory due to space constraints can be quite frustrating.
Fortunately, Silent Hill f offers six inventory upgrades that enhance your carrying capacity by one slot each. Below, you’ll find detailed locations for all the inventory enhancements available in the game.
Shoulder Bag Upgrade Location
The inaugural upgrade, the Shoulder Bag, becomes accessible during your first visit to Ebisugaoka. To acquire this item, progress to the objective of “Head to Rinko’s House.”
Navigate to the area depicted in the image above, where you will engage with two enemies in the alley. Continue down the alley to discover the Shoulder Bag resting on a wooden crate.
School Bag Upgrade Location
The second upgrade, the School Bag, can be obtained while exploring Ebisugaoka Middle School. To do so, acquire the Locker Room Key towards the conclusion of the middle school segment and use it on the door that leads to the east side of the locker room.
Within this area, locate Suga Yosie’s locker on the back wall and unlock it with the code 505. Inside, you’ll discover the School Bag upgrade.
Dirty Drawstring Bag Upgrade Location
The third inventory upgrade, the Dirty Drawstring Bag, is found during the ritual segment in the Otherworld. After completing the second ritual, you will encounter a staircase split into two directions: one leading down and the other upward.
Choose to go up the stairs, where you will face two enemies and notice some broken floorboards. Carefully navigate around these obstacles to eventually locate the Dirty Drawstring Bag atop a drawer.
Furoshiki Upgrade Location
The fourth upgrade, known as the Furoshiki, is the final inventory enhancement available during your initial playthrough. It can be found in the Shimizu Residence, specifically in the area designated as “Shimizu Residence III.” This area will be naturally accessed as you progress through the level.
Upon reaching Shimizu Residence III, the Furoshiki can be discovered in the kitchen, located at the southwest end of the map.
Packing Tips Upgrade Location (New Game Plus)
In your New Game Plus run, you can find the Packing Tips inventory upgrade at the start of the game. After leaving Hinako’s house during your first visit to Ebisugaoka, your task will be “Head down the mountain.” There is a newly accessible house that wasn’t available during your first playthrough, located to the east of the game’s first Hokora Shrine.
Upon entering this house, make your way upstairs to find the Balcony Key hidden inside a box in the back room. Use this key on the balcony door, step outside, and enter the adjoining room to locate the Packing Tips upgrade on the desk.
Embroidered Drawstring Bag Upgrade Location (New Game Plus)
The final inventory upgrade, the Embroidered Drawstring Bag, is located during the objective “Find a way to the sacred door”while navigating the Corridors section of the Otherworld.
Head northwest towards the position indicated in the image, where you’ll discover a previously locked door that is now accessible. In the back left corner of this room, you will find the Embroidered Drawstring Bag on a shelf.
