Silent Hill f features five distinct endings, each offering a unique narrative twist. To unlock some of these endings, players must embark on a quest to acquire the Sacred Sword, a powerful weapon that requires considerable effort and exploration.
Obtaining the Sacred Sword involves completing a complex puzzle that spans the entirety of the game. Players must locate five specific items and present them at various Jizo Statues scattered throughout the game world. This aspect of the quest can be particularly challenging, as these items are often well-hidden.
This guide will not only walk you through acquiring the Sacred Sword but will also detail how to purify it, a necessary step for achieving one of the game’s endings.
How to Acquire the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f

To secure the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f, players must first complete the game once and then start New Game Plus. Within your second playthrough, the task is to uncover five key items and offer each to a corresponding Jizo Statue throughout the story.
The essential items for the Jizo Statues include:
- Faded Bride Doll
- Rusted Flask
- Broken Japanese Geta Sandals
- Cracked Hibachi Brazier
- Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife
Upon finding each item, players must travel back to the Jizo Statue located near the spot where the item was discovered to make the necessary offerings.
It is crucial to note that if you overlook any of these items during your playthrough, you may not be able to retrieve them later due to the game’s linear design. Therefore, keeping multiple save files during your New Game Plus session is highly recommended.
Below, you will find specific details on how to locate each item and its associated Jizo Statue, presented sequentially as they appear in the game.
Location of the Faded Bride Doll (Ebisugaoka First Visit)
The Faded Bride Doll is accessible early in your New Game Plus run in Silent Hill f. As you aim to descend the mountain, direct yourself to a house located on the eastern side of the map, close to the initial Hokora Shrine.
Search the upstairs section for the Treasure Hunting Game Key, and then move downstairs to explore the kitchen pantry. In the back right corner, you will discover a treasure chest. Use the retrieved key to unlock it and acquire the Faded Bride Doll.
Location of Jizo Statue #1
After claiming the Faded Bride Doll, proceed down the mountain and turn left at the first opportunity to find a Jizo Statue next to a nearby red mailbox. Simply interact with the statue to offer the doll.
Location of the Rusted Flask (Ebisugaoka Second Visit)
Upon returning from the Dark Shrine for a second time and while heading to Shu’s house, you’ll be able to acquire the Rusted Flask. When you reach the cornfield, instead of traversing through it, veer north until you reach Sakuko’s family shrine, where the flask rests atop one of the small stone structures.
Location of Jizo Statue #2
The Jizo Statue for the Rusted Flask is situated down the hill from the shrine. Once you reach the bottom, take a left followed by another left to find the Jizo Statue nestled behind a small structure. Interact with the statue to complete your offering of the Rusted Flask.
Location of the Broken Japanese Geta Sandals (Ebisugaoka Third Visit)
Look for the Broken Japanese Geta Sandals as you approach the middle school during your third visit to Ebisugaoka. After a short cutscene featuring Hinako’s friends, instead of entering the school, navigate to the area depicted in the image above. Near a cluster of crates on the ground, you will find the sandals.
Location of Jizo Statue #3
Following the acquisition of the sandals, seek out the Jizo Statue near the Hokora Shrine that you previously visited before approaching the middle school. Ascend the long staircase and find the statue behind the left-hand house, where you can offer the sandals.
Location of the Cracked Hibachi Brazier (Ebisugaoka Fourth Visit)
The Cracked Hibachi Brazier can be obtained during your quest to locate Shu and Rinko after finishing the middle school and Worship Hall segments. Reach Shu’s house, then venture to the backyard where you will come across a shed. The brazier can be found on the ground to the left side of the shed.
Location of Jizo Statue #4
Before entering Shu’s house, retrace your steps back toward the Hokora Shrine and look left to find the fourth Jizo Statue. Interact with the statue to offer the Cracked Hibachi Brazier. It’s essential to do this before entering Shu’s house, as proceeding inside transports Hinako to the Dark Shrine realm.
Upon your next venture into the Dark Shrine, you will find yourself in the Main Hall area. For players aiming to purify the Sacred Sword later, completing the Crimson Water puzzle in this location is necessary.
Location of Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife (Ebisugaoka Fifth Visit)
During your fifth visit to Ebisgaoka, as you head towards the Shimizu residence, look for a house near a couple of enemies. Navigate around the house to discover Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife protruding from a tree.
Location of Jizo Statue #5
Once you have Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife, return to the previous house along your path. Ascend the stairs next to this house to locate the final Jizo Statue surrounded by lush green foliage. Interact with the statue to present your last offering, the knife.
Location of the Sacred Sword (Ebisugaoka Fifth Visit)

Having successfully offered all five items to the Jizo Statues, you’re now ready to claim the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f. This crucial item can be found during your fifth visit to Ebisugaoka.
To locate the Sacred Sword, return to the mountain and move past Shu’s house until you find the Thousand Year Cedar. The images provided illustrate its precise location, which is hard to overlook due to its massive size.

Obtaining the Sacred Sword rewards you with an immensely powerful weapon that, intriguingly, does not break. Instead, when its durability is exhausted, it can be unequipped to replenish its durability meter. This weapon is not only incredibly effective but is also necessary to unlock the Fox Wet’s Its Tail and the ending titled Ebisugaoka in Silence.
Simply having the sword will grant you the Fox Wet’s Its Tail ending. However, to achieve the True ending, Ebisugaoka in Silence, you will need to purify the sword—a process detailed in the following section.
How to Purify the Sacred Sword

To purify the Sacred Sword, players must visit the shrine located northeast of Shu’s house. Refer to the image above for the precise location.
If you have successfully completed the Main Hall Crimson Water puzzle, you will find the shrine’s tub filled with blood. If you have not solved this puzzle, the tub will be empty, preventing purification.

For those who completed the puzzle, approach the tub and interact with it. This action will instruct Hinako to submerge the Sacred Sword in the blood, effectively purifying it and enabling the player to earn the true ending of Silent Hill f.
