In July of the previous year, the utility known as WingetUI underwent a significant transformation, rebranding itself as “UniGetUI.”This name change was accompanied by a completely overhauled user interface, which the creator deemed necessary to better reflect the utility’s enhanced capabilities.
Latest Pre-Release Update: Key Features
Recently, UniGetUI rolled out its latest pre-release update, introducing a suite of enhancements aimed at improving the package downloading and installation processes. Among these updates are:
- Multiple Simultaneous Downloads: Users can now download several packages at once, streamlining workflows significantly.
- Convenient Download Options: A new feature allows users to initiate a download with a simple right-click on a package, eliminating the need to navigate through package details.
- Improved Download Interface: Downloads are clearly indicated at the bottom of the window as installation operations, enhancing usability.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
In addition to these significant new features, the update also resolves a bug that affected the uninstallation of packages, restoring functionality that had been disrupted in version 3.1.6-beta1. Users can now confidently uninstall packages or choose to update and reinstall them without glitches.
