During the SMTOWN Live 2025 concert held in Seoul from January 11 to 12, SHINee’s Key and Minho captured the attention of fans as they celebrated SM Entertainment’s 30th anniversary. Despite the absence of fellow members Onew and Taemin, this duo delivered high-energy performances that kept the audience enthralled.

While the crowd was treated to a display of charisma and the duo’s trademark energetic dynamic, it was only noticeable to a few that Key was struggling with a severe cold throughout the event. Key’s Health Concerns Shared with Fans
Prior to Day 2 of the concert, Key, whose full name is Kibum, took to the fan communication platform Bubble to inform the SHINee fan base, known as Shawols, about his deteriorating health condition. He expressed remorse for being unable to participate in the special “Hope”ending stage with his fellow SMTOWN colleagues due to his worsening sickness.
In response, fans urged him to prioritize his health and take time off to recover.
A Test of Professionalism
Despite feeling unwell, Key displayed remarkable professionalism on the concert’s second day. He successfully completed his solo performances while warmly acknowledging the support from Shawols alongside Minho.
